4 POWER BEGETS PERFORMANCE The Pajero driver demands an engine with enough strength and muscle to conquer all punishing terrains. An advanced 3.2 litre Common Rail Direct Injection Diesel (DiD) engine provides 147kW of power and an impressive 441Nm of torque. It will take Pajero anywhere, quickly, smoothly and quietly and is available in 5-speed manual (GLX only) and INVECS II Smart Logic 5-speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode. MORE ABOUT INVECS II WITH SPORTS MODE This Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System (INVECS II) is Pajero s smart thinking, five speed automatic gearbox. It s designed to make your life easier- by simply shifting the lever across into Sports Mode and pushing the lever up or down the appropriate direction, you will shift gears almost instantly and smoothly. WHAT TAKES YOU THERE WILL BRING YOU BACK. 2H (2WD high range) Ideal for cities and motorway driving, the rear wheel drive mode gives a quiet ride with smooth on-road performance and economy. 4H (4WD Full-Time 4WD) When the weather turns bad and the road gets rough, get added traction in 4H mode. The dynamic front/rear torque split adjusts between 33:67 up to 50:50 for added traction and safety. This maximised low-end torque will pull you through even the roughest terrain. Like you, Pajero loves to experience isolated spots.

5 Super Select 4WD II 6 SRS airbags SUPER SELECT 4WD II Simply select the required best mode on the gearshift panel and the electronically controlled system will set the Pajero drive train to deliver superior performance under the most challenging driving conditions. The system also allows you to change from the fuel-efficient 2WD to 4WD even as the car is travelling at speeds of up to 100km/h ideal when road surfaces suddenly become slippery. And when the going gets tough, you can lock the centre differential to evenly distribute power to both axles and maximise traction. REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCK For extreme conditions you also have the option of locking the rear differential, creating side-to-side locking of the rear axle. As an example, when one of the rear wheels loses traction, with the rear differential lock engaged, the other wheel will always keep on moving. Ensuring you don t get stuck is a valuable Pajero capability. ADVANCED 4-WHEEL INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION The front double wishbone suspension and a multi-link rear axle, all with coil springs, ensures that each wheel moves independently to the wheel on the opposite side of the axle. A smooth comfortable ride and confident handling over every conceivable type of terrain is Pajero s forté. TOWING CAPACITY Pajero s impressive power and torque provides a 3,000kg towing capacity. In the event of an accident, impact-absorbing crushable zones minimise the effect on passengers. ASTC prevents tyre spin on slippery surfaces and minimises the risk of drift caused by over-accelerating in corners.
