To help you stay connected to the world, while keeping your eyes on the road, the Accent is equipped with steering wheel mounted controls that let you control the audio system and Bluetooth functions with your fingertips. Bluetooth technology also lets you use your mobile phone hands-free^ as well as stream music directly from any compatible mobile phone or media device. The Premium model offers proximity key technology that enables you to lock and unlock your new Accent without taking the keys from your pocket or bag. 16 All the safety you d expect from a big car. Achieving Australia s highest possible occupant safety rating 5-Star ANCAP safety is standard, not an option, with the Accent. Hyundai have included all the latest passive and active safety technologies so the only thing you need focus on is your destination. Built strong to protect Rear Park Assist (Premium only) Safer and easier reversing The Premium model of the Accent boasts rear park assist sensors that warn you when you re getting too close to an object, as well as a rear view camera that provides a colour LCD image of the area behind the vehicle, for even greater safety and protection. The chassis has been built tough with high tensilestrength steel and includes a Collision Load Dispersion mechanism that, in the event of an impact, distributes the force in three ways to maintain the integrity of the cabin. Other reinforcements such as dual rear-door impact beams provide even further levels of protection. Across all grades, six airbags are standard driver and side- front passenger side thorax airbags as well as curtain airbags for front and rear seat passengers. To help reduce the possibility of whiplash injury, height adjustable head restraints are included for all occupants.

17 Accent Premium interior shown Loaded with smarts to prevent The Accent also boasts a comprehensive range of advanced active safety technologies that are constantly working behind the scenes, ready to spring into action and assist you during a difficult driving situation. The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS) senses the loss of wheel grip (such as when skidding) and then applies individual wheel braking, together with engine and transmission adjustments, to help you get the vehicle back on its intended course. Likewise, in slippery conditions or sudden cornering scenarios, the state-of-the art Vehicle's Stability Management (VSM) system helps maintain control of the vehicle by applying counter-steering assistance, guiding you to the correct steering position.
