Powered by our latest Full Hybrid drivetrain, this breakthrough Lexus delivers smooth and agile handling combined with incredible environmental performance. Intuitive Lexus technology includes Remote Touch Pad and a Panoramic View Monitor on Premier grade, and Pre-Crash Safety as standard on all grades. Approach the NX and the door handles light up to greet you, while a further statement is made by the dynamic side kick-up line and coupélike silhouette. To the front of the F SPORT and Premier grades LED triple-projector headlights and arrowhead daytime running lights depict the unmistakable Lexus aura. On Premier grade an extra-wide colour Head-Up Display projected on the windscreen helps you concentrate on the road ahead; Lane Keeping Assist stops you drifting out of lane and Automatic High Beam switches to low beam when required. To help avoid danger, as standard across all models, Pre-Crash Safety uses millimetre-wave radar technology to detect objects ahead applying the brakes and tightening seatbelts if appropriate. With its shimamoku * hand-finished wood inserts and beautifully stitched leatherwork, the new NX 00h resets benchmarks for this kind of SUV. Manufactured at our Kyushu plant in dust-free clean room conditions, paint shop employees go through two vacuum chambers to remove particles from their special suits and hair. A water screen nicknamed Niagara reduces dust even further. Gleaming paintwork is produced by hand sanding each foundation coat (a time-consuming process normally reserved for coach-built cars). * On Premier grade only

Also, an innovative Lexus process ensures that 95% of the battery can be reprocessed. Energy flows are managed by an advanced Power Control Unit that constantly optimises the allocation of power electric, petrol or a combination of both up to 56.5 mpg. / Hybrid battery - No plugs required Featuring an innovative new split design, and located under the rear seat so as not to encroach on the NX 00h s large luggage space, the hybrid battery provides high power output in relation to its weight. The NX 00h recharges its hybrid battery as required using electricity generated when driving and braking thus avoiding the need for any external charging. / EV (Electric Vehicle) mode With sufficient battery charge, EV mode lets you drive at lower speeds over shorter distances using just electric power. EV mode is near silent, emissions-free and consumes no fuel. This is ideal, for instance, when driving in heavy city traffic or enclosed car parks. / Regenerative braking When braking or decelerating, the front and rear wheels drive the high-output electric motors so that they function as generators. Kinetic energy which would otherwise be lost as heat is then captured and converted into electric power. 15 NEW NX 00h / HYBRID EXPLAINED NEW NX 00h / HYBRID EXPLAINED Start up, driving off When starting off, the powerful front and rear electric motors can swiftly propel the NX 00h up to 40mph, with electric power supplied by the hybrid battery. At this point the vehicle is almost silent, uses no petrol and produces zero emissions. Normal driving conditions At speeds above 40mph the ultra-smooth Atkinson Cycle petrol engine cuts in, almost silently, while still receiving assistance from the electric motors when required. Through the near perfect distribution of its petrol and electric power sources, the NX 00h provides extraordinary driving enjoyment together with low emissions and modest fuel consumption. Full throttle acceleration Accelerate powerfully and the combined power of the electric motors instantaneously supplements the.5-litre petrol engine. Together they deliver a potent surge of torque to provide breathtakingly fast linear acceleration precisely when you need it. Deceleration, stopping, braking When decelerating or coming to a halt, the petrol engine turns off, cutting emissions to zero. Brake, or take your foot off the accelerator, and regenerative braking harnesses the kinetic energy lost in other cars. 16 NEW NX 00h / DRIVING / Drive Mode Select Located on the centre console, next to the gearshift, Drive Mode Select allows drivers to choose between ECO, NORMAL, SPORT modes, for maximising the car s efficiency, dynamism or refinement. / E-FOUR On NX 00h All-Wheel Drive models, E-FOUR delivers seamless performance and confident traction over rougher terrain. The innovative E-FOUR drivetrain features the addition of a 68 DIN hp electric motor mounted on the rear axle, which delivers instant torque on demand. / Hill-start Assist Control Hill-start Assist Control maintains brake pressure to help prevent the NX 00h from moving backwards when starting off on a slope. Hill-start Assist Control also minimises wheel-spin on slippery inclines. 4 / Traction Control Traction Control increases the NX 00h s ability to grip, especially when starting off or accelerating on uneven or slippery surfaces. Corrective measures are applied the moment the risk of wheel-spin is detected, thereby maintaining traction. 5 / Vehicle Stability Control Vehicle Stability Control helps prevent the loss of vehicle control, particularly when cornering quickly or at the onset of a skid. Stability is improved and vehicle speed lessened by the selective application of brakes and, or, power reduction. NEW NX 00h / DRIVING To ensure precise and enjoyable performance on all types of road, the new NX 00h was first tested and refined in the world s most advanced driving simulator and then driven over many hundreds of thousands of kilometres in the toughest Arctic and desert conditions. / Extremely strong chassis, Adaptive Variable Suspension With its all-new chassis, suspension and steering, the new NX 00h is incredibly smooth and refined to drive. Advanced laser screw welding and adhesive bonding techniques make the NX 00h extremely rigid. This has produced an SUV of great strength, which rewards drivers with refined handling characteristics. Equipped with compact MacPherson strut front suspension and sophisticated double wishbone rear suspension, the NX delivers outstanding road holding, saloon-like cornering characteristics and superb straight-line stability. For a more engaging drive, optional Adaptive Variable Suspension on F Sport grade intelligently controls the damping force on all four wheels. This not only improves ride comfort, but also increases handling stability. / Advanced aerodynamics The NX has excellent aerodynamics, thanks to a near-flat underbody and large rear spoiler. To reduce the overall drag coefficient, Lexus engineers also redesigned the door mirrors. 17 NEW NX 00h / ADVANCED SAFETY / Lane Keeping Assist * This innovative technology helps prevent the driver from inadvertently drifting out of lane, by way of a warning and the automatic application of a brief corrective steering force. / Blind Spot Monitor * Radar devices mounted in the rear bumper detect vehicles in adjacent lanes that are not visible in the door mirrors. If the driver is indicating to change lane, and a vehicle enters the blind spot, the Blind Spot Monitor instantly activates a warning signal in the relevant door mirror. / Adaptive Cruise Control * To help reduce driver fatigue, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a set distance between the NX 00h and the vehicle ahead, even if that vehicle varies its speed or comes to a complete stop. Once the road is clear, ACC automatically returns to the originally specified cruising speed. 4 / Automatic High Beam * At night, Automatic High Beam uses a camera mounted behind the rear-view mirror to automatically switch to low beam when it detects the lights of either an oncoming or preceding vehicle. This reduces the chance of accidentally dazzling other drivers should you forget to switch off the high beam headlights. 5 / Rear Cross Traffic Alert * When reversing, for instance in a busy car park, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) function uses the Blind Spot Monitor radar to detect vehicles approaching the difficult-to-see area behind the vehicle. When a vehicle is detected, the RCTA function alerts you with a visual display in the door mirrors and a buzzer. * Available as an option, part of a pack or standard on specific grade(s). NEW NX 00h / ADVANCED SAFETY The new NX 00h SUV has an incredibly strong passenger safety cell and eight airbags. As standard, the SUV offers advanced Pre-Crash Safety technology. Pioneering driver support systems include Automatic High Beam, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are featured on selected grades. / Eight airbags In addition to an immensely strong passenger safety cell, occupant security is provided by eight airbags. The driver and front passenger are protected by -stage head airbags, as well as knee (driver only), front passenger cushion airbag and side airbags. Curtain shield airbags run the full length of both cabin sides. All seatbelts, except for the centre rear seat, are also specified with pre-tensioners. This exceptional level of safety protection is provided as standard in the new NX 00h. / Whiplash injury lessening seats The front seats are designed to minimise whiplash inducing neck motion in a rear impact. Reinforced seat frames allow the torso to sink into the seatback, while the placement of the headrest supports the head more effectively. / Pre-crash safety Millimetre-wave radar and an on-board computer calculate collision risk ahead. If the risk is high, the driver is alerted by audible and visual warnings and brake pressure is increased. When a collision is deemed unavoidable, the brakes will be applied automatically as necessary and the front seatbelts tightened. 4 5 ADVANCED SAFETY

The panoramic roof is fitted with an electric sliding blind to shade you should the sun become too intense. / Welcome illumination As you approach the NX 00h with the key in your pocket or bag, gentle lights on the door handles illuminate to welcome you, followed by the daytime running lights as you open the door. / Privacy glass * The rear side windows and tailgate window are treated with a reflective tint, which provides passengers with extra privacy. This does not, however, restrict the view from inside the NX 00h to the world outside. 4 / Power tailgate * A remote controlled tailgate ensures convenience, especially when your arms are full of shopping. This motorsport-inspired technology allows greater comfort and lateral support than is possible with conventional upholstery methods. Ergonomic design Seat cushion shape and firmness have been optimised to reduce pressure on the sensitive ischial region. For extra comfort, long reach seat adjustments also accommodate larger European physiques. / Heated / ventilated seats * In combination with leather upholstery, the driver and front passenger can heat or ventilate their seats. This adds to the sense of luxury, especially in extreme weather conditions. / Heated steering wheel * For added comfort in colder conditions, the steering wheel can be heated on Premier grade. Compatible smartphones can be mirror linked to the display. / Lexus Hotspot ** Lexus Hotspot turns your NX into a mobile WiFi hotspot. When in a G/G area, it enables connection for up to five devices such as tablets, phones and laptops and supports in-car interaction between them.
