4 STYLE AND SPACE From each of Pajero s rows of seats, you will find yourself stretching out and relaxing in plenty of space. There is not only a surprising amount of cargo room but other storage space, too in one quick move, you can easily transform Pajero from a 2-seat heavy load carrier to a 5-seat off-roader or a 7- seat luxury family transporter. The possibilities are as versatile as the seats themselves. The Pajero s 3rd row of seats can be quickly stowed under the floor, leaving a flat loading base with generous cargo room height. Other details like the rear manual air-conditioner controls make a big difference to those travelling in the back. ENTERTAINMENT AND TECHNOLOGY With the help of navigation in the impressive Mitsubishi Multi Communication System you can be guided by clear, turn-by-turn directions shown on the high definition touch-screen. 7 AWC (ALL WHEEL CONTROL) More than a technology, AWC is our guiding philosophy. Incorporating an array of innovative systems into an integrated performance and control network, AWC delivers precise traction, power and slip control for each wheel independently to ensure complete driver control even in extreme handling conditions. Combining the electronically controlled Super Select 4WD II (SS4-II) system with the Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC) system, AWC provides incredible grip and handling. Simply select the best drive mode on the gearshift panel and the Pajero alters the drive train to deliver secure steering under the most challenging driving conditions. The SS4-II is the most impressive and sophisticated 4WD system that we have ever developed. It allows you to change from the fuel-efficient 2WD to 4WD while the car is travelling at speeds of up to 100 km/h ideal when the road surface suddenly becomes slippery. When the going gets tough, you can lock the centre differential to evenly distribute power to both axles and maximise traction. For ultimate off-road ability, a low ratio mode can be selected which almost doubles effective engine braking in any gear, giving Pajero sufficiently low gearing to easily cope with very steep inclines, deep snow or thick mud. Super Select 4WD II (SS4-II) really does give you the best of all possible worlds. Note: Super Select 4WD II lets you shift between 2H, 4H and 4HLc modes at speeds up to 100 km/h. Vehicle must be stopped when switching between 4HLc and 4LLc. Please see the owner s manual for additional information. 2H (2WD high range) C/D LOCK Ideal for cities and motorway driving, the rear wheel drive mode gives a quiet ride with smooth on-road performance. C/D LOCK 4H (4WD high range) With 4WD engaged, front/rear torque split shifts from 33:67 up to 50:50 for added traction and safety, especially when driving in adverse weather conditions or when towing. C/D LOCK 4HLC (4WD high range with locked centre differential) By equally distributing power between front and rear wheels, this mode helps maintain traction on low-grip surfaces. C/D 4L LOCK 4LLC (4WD low range with locked centre differential) The lower gear ratio maximises low-end power for climbing and enables controlled steep descents. It also helps you get out of sticky situations like deep mud, sand or snow. REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCK For really extreme conditions you also have the option of locking the rear differential, for side-to-side locking of the rear axle. If for example, one of the rear wheels loses traction, with the rear differential lock engaged the other wheel will always keep on moving, to ensure you do not get stuck. ADVANCED 4-WHEEL INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION A front double wishbone suspension and a multi-link rear axle, all with coil springs, ensure that each wheel moves independently to the wheel on the opposite side of the axle. This ensures a smooth comfortable ride and confident handling over every conceivable type of terrain. 8 ETACS, YOUR COMFORTABLE ASSISTANT Mitsubishi Motors Electronic Time and Alarm Control System (ETACS) allows you to easily operate a wide range of features for added safety, comfort and convenience. Certain ETACS comfort functions can be customised by your Mitsubishi Motors dealer. AUTO-LIGHT AND RAIN SENSOR The auto-light sensor automatically activates the headlamps as soon as it gets dark. The rain sensor activates the windshield wipers automatically when moisture is detected on the windshield. HEADLAMP AUTO-OFF FUNCTION After you have turned off the ignition and got out of the car, the headlamps are automatically switched off, preventing the battery from being drained. SAFETY MEASURES The Pajero does not just look ultra protective and tough it is. Sitting high up in the Pajero s driving position provides you with a clearer view of obstacles on the road. Bright Xenon (HID) headlamps offer increased luminosity to improve visibility and feature individual headlamp washers and an auto-levelling function. An electronic chromic rearview mirror reduces any glare from headlamps behind you. Pajero s improved brake performance and Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC) with Brake Assist system provide a reassuringly safe drive. All seats are equipped with three-point seat belts with ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) and the side power windows have automatic anti-trapping devices that instantly stop them when they detect anything in the way when closing. IMPACT ABSORBING BODY Pajero s strengthened monocoque body with built-in frame provides a highly rigid structure, with crumple zones around the engine to absorb impact energy to ensure everyone is safe and feels safe. AIRBAGS In the event of a collision Pajero not only has dual-stage front airbags but also side airbags and curtain airbags for ultimate protection to driver and passengers. KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM Makes it possible to lock and unlock the doors and tailgate and to fold and unfold the door mirrors with the remote key. TURN INDICATOR WITH COMFORT MODE When the indicator lever is tapped briefly, the indicator will flash three times and then stop allowing you to concentrate on manoeuvring and therefore making driving easier and safer. POWER WINDOW TIMER After shutting off the engine, the power windows can be operated for 30 seconds. When the driver s door is opened within 30 seconds after shutting off the engine, power windows can be operated for 30 seconds again. SPEED SENSITIVE WIPERS When the front wiper is set to intermittent, a speed sensor changes the wiper interval to suit the car s speed for better visibility. To decrease the risk of injury from a deploying airbag, always wear your seat belt, sit upright in the middle of the seat and do not lean against the door. Always place children 12 and under in the rear seat and use appropriate child restraints. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat. Please see the owner s manual and the instructions provided with your child restraint for additional information. MULTI-MODE ABS WITH EBD Pajero s ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) fitted with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) ensures even, efficient distribution of braking power to each wheel regardless of how many people are travelling inside and whatever the cargo load and road surface. This provides you with maximised braking power and driving stability. Note: ABS can help a driver prevent unsafe situations while braking, but is never a substitute for safe driving. ABS does not always reduce stopping distances. Stopping distance can be influenced by many factors including road surface conditions and friction between the tyres and the road surface. WITHOUT ABS WITH ABS COMPLETE STOP APPLY BRAKES OPEN DOOR ALARM ABS EBD If any door is still open while the car is moving, a buzzer will alert you. For a complete list of ETACS functions, please consult your Mitsubishi Motors dealer or refer to the owner s manual. ASTC ASTC WITH BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM Active Stability and Traction Control is Pajero s state-of-the-art safety system. It regulates braking force to each wheel during cornering to ensure excellent stability. The system also maintains optimum traction in all conditions, on and off-road. ASTC prevents tyre spin on slippery surfaces and minimises the risk of drift caused by overaccelerating in corners. The Brake Assist system increases braking pressure when panic braking is detected and helps assist faster and safer braking in emergency situations. Note: The control capabilities of ASTC are supplemental only. Please drive safely and never rely solely on these functions while driving. Be sure to use the same specified type and size of tires on all 4 wheels. Do not install any aftermarket limited slip differential on your vehicle. Please see the owner s manual for additional information. AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM This in-vehicle camera sensor continuously monitors headlamps and tail lights of oncoming and preceding vehicles. If a nearing vehicle is detected by the camera sensor, the Automatic High Beam system automatically switches to low beam. Once there are no oncoming or preceding vehicles with headlamps or tail lights turned on in close proximity, the system immediately reverts back to high beam. Without the need for manual operation, driving is even more safe and comfortable. LED DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP WITH POSITION LAMP Beyond enhancing safety by increase visibility when driving during the daytime, the LED daytime running lamps add a touch of style for good measure

After a long working life we will take your vehicle back and recycle it in an environmentally friendly manner in accordance with the EU Directive on End-of-Life Vehicles and any applicable national statutory provisions. All Mitsubishi Motors vehicles (up to 3.5t GVW) sold after 1st July 2002, will be taken back free of charge from the last owner, at one of the designated take back points, provided the vehicle contains all major components and is free of waste.
