Its urban attitude and off-road characteristics live side by side, offering a superior on-road performance and the legendary Jeep capabilities. The Jeep Cherokee features two 4x4 systems: Jeep Active Drive I and Jeep Active Drive II, each with rear-axle disconnect and Selec-Terrain traction control system with four customized modes: Auto, Snow, Sport and Sand/Mud. The rear-axle disconnect seamlessly switches between front and four-wheel drive when 4x4 traction is needed. JEEP ACTIVE DRIVE I: full-time active one-speed Rear Drive Module (RDM) with reduced weight, balanced torque distribution and brake traction control. Available on Longitude, Limited and Overland.
