Smartphone Linkage Display Audio (SLDA) The audio incorporates a touch-panel display that is as intuitive as a smartphone. Comfortability for road trips (GLX) Use of the cruise control function enables the vehicle to automatically maintain a set speed without the need to operate the accelerator pedal. This reduces driver fatigue when driving at high speeds or over long distances and also improves fuel efficiency by eliminating unnecessary acceleration and braking. Dynamic colouring The bold contrast of black and white on the instrument panel and door trim is simple in composition but leaves a powerful impression. Spacious interior The adoption of a new-generation platform minimises the size of the engine compartment space to achieve a roomy interior, leaving plenty of space for rear seat passengers. Sliding rear seats for an easier-to-use interior The left and right rear seats slide forward and backward separately from each other, making it possible to adjust for legroom, luggage, and all sorts of situations. 9 FUEL EFFICIENCY Clever fuel-efficiency technology helps conserve gasoline for exceptionally economical driving Mild hybrid system (SHVS) (Optional for GLX and GL) Equipped with mild hybrid system the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) which offers dramatically improved mileage and a more comfortable ride. The SHVS system is composed of an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) a generator with a motor function that assists the engine and a highly efficient lithium-ion battery with excellent charging and power supply performance. Regenerative deceleration and use with the Engine Auto Stop and Start sytem improves fuel efficiency and is an optimal hybrid for a compact car seeking to achieve lightness, smallness, and space efficiency. A new-generation platform that contributes to fuel efficiency and comfortability The quality of the ride is determined by the automobile s framework. The smooth, continuous shape of the Ignis chassis secures high rigidity while dramatically reducing reinforcing members and weight. Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS) Two cameras recognise forward vehicles, pedestrians, and lane lines just like human eyes. Based on various information captured by these cameras, this system helps avoid collisions and mitigate collision damage through warnings and automatic braking. 1. Warning When the system decides there is the potential for a collision, it provides a warning through a buzzer and a light on the meter panel. Warning Lane departure warning function (Standard for GLX, Optional for GL+, GL and GA) (Standard for GLX, Optional for GL+, GL and GA) When the vehicle is traveling at over approximately 60km/h and is departing the lane without use of the turn signal by the driver, the system produces a steering-wheel vibration and provides a warning through a light on the meter panel to draw attention to lane departures caused by factors such as inattention to the road. This draws the driver s attention to weaving caused by drowsiness or other factors. Automatic brake Braking force increase When the system decides that a collision is inevitable if things continue unchecked, it initiates strong braking automatically in an effort to avoid collision or mitigate damage. Warning Automatic braking Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) When applying the brakes suddenly while driving above 55km/h, in addition to the brake lights the vehicle also automatically flashes the hazard lamps at high speed to alert following vehicles. Warning Display Flash Depending on various factors the two cameras may be less able or not able to detect certain objects. Collision may be avoided in some cases where the system is activated at speeds between approximately 5km/h and 50km/h (for pedestrians, where the speed is under approximately 30km/h). Depending on the detection and movement of the object, the alarm may sound only, without accompanying automatic brake. The alarm may activate at the same time as automatic braking in other cases.
