3 Engine Every Nissan Patrol is powered by a 3.0 litre common rail intercooled turbo-diesel engine. This gutsy 118kW powerplant delivers a high level of torque that is accessible across the rev range. Towing capacity Manual models deliver a very impressive 3,200kg braked towing capacity, so you can take just about anything on your adventures. 4WD ability Turn off the beaten track and you can shift directly from 2WD to 4WD on the move. The locking front hubs on the ST and Ti models engage automatically. Dual-range transfer gearbox You can easily choose either high or low range ratios. The low ratio is designed to cope with more demanding terrain and keep you in control. rear DiffERENTial Lock An inside cabin switch allows you to easily engage the rear differential lock when facing different wheel traction in 4WD situations. By locking the rear differential it forces both wheels to turn in unison, providing a significant traction advantage to keep you moving. Handling Front and rear telescopic shock absorbers along with a stabiliser bar ensure smooth cornering. LaDDEr chassis The all steel body, built on a separate ladder chassis, helps keep occupants comfortable as well as safe. 4 Airbags All variants have front driver and passenger SRS airbags, while the Ti model adds driver and front passenger side-impact SRS airbags. SafETy construction High strength reinforcement in the cabin structure is complemented by an energy absorbing side structure to provide protection in the event of a collision. VEHicle Dynamic Control (VDC) VDC, also known as Electronic Stability Control, is a safety system to help keep you on your intended path. If VDC senses that your vehicle is starting to oversteer or understeer, the engine power is reduced or braking power applied to specific wheels to help you maintain control. Anti-lock Braking SysTEm (abs) In an emergency situation ABS moderates the brakes to prevent wheel lock up and help the driver maintain stability and steering control. The system comes with a gravel sensor that actually detects the type of surface the vehicle is travelling on and automatically adjusts itself to best handle the situation. ActiVE Brake Limited Slip DiffERENTIAL (abls) Designed to help you in slippery conditions, ABLS applies individual braking force to the wheel losing traction to help slow it down.
