Techical data are trasmitted from the vehicle to BMW at regular itervals, where they are evaluated for the cotiuig developmet of BMW products, i a process called the Teleservice Report. This exclusively ivolves purely techical data relatig to the status of the vehicle. Other data, such as positio data, are ot trasmitted withi the scope of the Teleservice Report. The Teleservice Battery Guard cotiuously ispects the battery chargig status of the vehicle. If the battery chargig status falls below a defied level, iformatio to this effect is trasmitted to the resposible Service parter, who will, if ecessary, establish cotact with the customer i order to arrage a service appoitmet. Cocierge Services (SA6AN) The Cocierge Services (SA6AN) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. To use the service, the customer is coected to the BMW call cetre at the push of a butto usig the itegrated telephoe uit. I this way, data cocerig the vehicle s idetificatio, locatio ad if route guidace is activated the selected route may be trasmitted to the service providers commissioed by BMW to provide the service i that case, this data shall oly be used to help process the provisio of the service ad shall be retaied util all procedures have bee properly completed. The data shall the be deleted. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. 5. Real Time Traffic Iformatio (SA6AM) The Real Time Traffic Iformatio ( RTTI - SA6AM) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. The traffic iformatio reuired for the service is calculated by a variety of meas icludig usig what is kow as Floatig Car Data. I this sese, every CoectedDrive-capable BMW fuctios as a mobile traffic reporter (Floatig Car). The idividual positio ad sesor data of the vehicle calculated durig the trip is trasferred completely aoymously to BMW ad a service provider together with up-to-date time iformatio. 6. Remote Services (SA6AP) Registratio o My BMW CoectedDrive at is a prereuisite for the Remote Services (SA6AP) fuctio. This Service has to be booked oce ad ca the be used for a ulimited period of time. Usig this Service, the customer ca lock or ulock his/her vehicle from a distace via smartphoe ad, i the case of selected vehicles, soud the hor ad flash the lights. At the customer s reuest, vehicle coditio iformatio, such as the geographic vehicle positio are trasmitted from the vehicle to BMW. Furthermore, with the special euipmet optio of auxiliary heatig, the customer ca also programme the heatig periods. The BMW CoectedDrive ad My BMW Remote App applicatios are available for iphoe i the Apple App StoreSM ad for AdroidTM i Google PlayTM. Further iformatio, icludig that o data processig, ca be viewed prior to istallatio of the applicatios. 7. edrive Services (SA6AG) a. The service edrive Services comprises fuctios that are displayed to the driver i the vehicle, i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the BMW CoectedDrive portal. The service supports the driver with iformatio relevat to electroic mobility. The service serves amog others to verify ad evaluate the uality of the chargig statios. For this purpose, locatio iformatio as well as chargig process iformatio is set to BMW ad trasmitted to the BMW Car IT GmbH for each chargig start, fiish, iterruptio ad error as well as for each power o ad off. Verified ad evaluated chargig statios are displayed to the customer i the GPS, BMW Olie, BMW CoectedDrive App ad CoectedDrive customer portal. Furthermore, possible locatios for ew chargig statios or locatios ca be idetified. b. The Efficiecy service utilises vehicle coditio iformatio which is set from the vehicle to BMW with every vehicle switch-off. These data serve to calculate the drivig performace idex which is displayed i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the CoectedDrive customer portal. c. The drivig performace idex will be statistically processed with the idex of other BMW drivers i the Commuity fuctio displayed aoymously i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad the BMW CoectedDrive customer portal. The service Commuity reuires the customer s agreemet i the customer portal or i the BMW CoectedDrive App. d. The service Route to the vehicle ad vehicle positio uses vehicle coditio iformatio as well as iformatio regardig the positio of the vehicle, which are set to BMW with every vehicle switch-off. These data serve to display the geographic vehicle positio, which is displayed i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the CoectedDrive customer portal. 8. Itercoectio of the vehicle with portals ad apps (depedig o the vehicle euipmet) The Service Itercoectio of the vehicle with portals ad apps trasmits vehicle data (e.g. vehicle positio, service iformatio, rage, etc.) upo certai chages of the vehicle s state (e.g. start of drivig, ed of drivig, lockig, etc.) from the vehicle to BMW. These data are used to display the geographic vehicle positio, the route to the vehicle ad further vehicle coditio iformatio i BMW apps ad BMW customer portals. The trasmitted iformatio is beig used for the purpose of uality improvemet ad the developmet of coected services ad future vehicles i a fully aoymised form. The BMW apps are available for iphoe i the Apple App Store SM ad for Adroid TM i Google Play TM. Further iformatio, icludig that o data processig, ca be viewed prior to istallatio of the app. The Service Apple CarPlay Preparatio is available for a period of 3 (three) years. While Apple CarPlay Preparatio is available for customers, the fuctioality of this is etirely depedet o ay updates which may be published by the developer ad ay euiries i this regard should be directed to the developer. RTTI is available i Germay, Austria, Italy, Frace, Switzerlad, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlads, the Uited Kigdom, Irelad, Spai, South Africa, Portugal, Swede, Demark, Norway, Czech Republic, Polad, Turkey ad Russia. V-Ifo+ is available i Germay, the Uited Kigdom, Frace ad Italy. The Service Iteret is exclusively available i Germay. 10. Deactivatio The customer ca deactivate the BMW CoectedDrive basic services Teleservices (6AE) ad Itelliget Emergecy Call (6AC) (ad Remote Services (SA6AP), i the case of BMWi vehicles) at ay time at a authorised BMW dealer, a regioal BMW brach or a authorised BMW workshop. Deactivatio of this service will also deactivate the SIM card istalled i the vehicle. This results i the Emergecy Call i the vehicle also ot fuctioig. The other services ca also be deactivated by the customer (from July 2014 via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal ( My BMW CoectedDrive ), although the agreemet betwee the customer ad BMW i respect of those services will remai i operatio ad will ot be suspeded by the deactivatio.
