2 Control s As a hydraulically operated sleeve-type valve, the 800 Series Control is designed for versatility. The basic body can be equipped with several different options for controlling pressure and flow in piping systems ranging from drip irrigation to center pivot end guns. It s also engineered for extremely high efficiency, resulting in low pressure loss and high flow capacity. Add a solenoid for electric on-off capability. Add a pressure control pilot to maintain a set upstream and/or downstream pressure. Add the Rate-Of-Flow (Model D18) control to regulate the flow rate during system start-up. Mount an ANSI flanged Big Gun directly onto an 800 Series Control for End of Pivot or Solid Set applications. Basic Operation of 800 Series open closed Water pressure is relieved from the sleeve chamber, allowing the valve to open. Upstream water is applied to the outer sleeve chamber, the sleeve becomes hydraulically balanced and the flow passage is closed off by the sleeve pressing against the center seat. 2

The valve will then stay open until upstream pressure reaches 30 PSI. Above 30 PSI the valve will respond to normal solenoid or pressure control. If outlet pressure exceeds inlet presure the valve will close. For Electric On-Off choose from DC, DC Latching or AC Solenoids. Note voltage, orifice diameter and inrush amps. Protect the solenoid or pressure controls from clogging. Self-cleaning internal filter is standard. External filter for greater filtration. Use both for the most demanding conditions. 4

6 Big Gun / Combos Mount an 800 Series Control directly to a Big Gun Sprinkler with an ANSI base. For control of a pivot end gun with booster pump, use the 2 800P (D, E, H accessories not needed). For solid set applications, add a filter, solenoid and/or pressure control to your valve.
