Model DEME... unctional Description, Sectional Views Model DE and DEM Section Model DEM (with maximum pressure safety) X DE and DEM valves are pilot controlled pressure relief valves. They are used to limit system pressures. y means of these valves and in conjunction with the electrical nominal setting the system pressure to be limited can be smoothly adjusted. These valves basically consist of a pilot valve (1) with proportional solenoid (2) and the main spool cartridge (3) - all in one housing. Model DE... The system's pressure limit is set via a proportional solenoid (2). The pressure in port originating from the system energizes the bottom of the main spool (3). The system pressure simultaneously exists at the spring-loaded side of the main spool (3) via the orifice (4), the ring channel (5), and the orifice (6). The system pressure at the pilot poppet (12) pushes against the force of the proportional solenoid (2) via the radial bore (7), pilot bore (8), and the orifice (9). Model DEE and DEME (with integrated actuation electronics) With the exception of the integrated electronics, the function and construction of these valves are similar to models DE and DEM. The actuation electronics located in the housing (15) receives the supply and signal value voltage through a plug (16). The manufacturer adjusts, with little variation between units, the ideal value pressure curve (zero point at valve seat (11) and the I max potentiometer (R30 in the control electronics system). 13 Port - externally drained pipe separately at zero pressure to tank If the hydraulic force exceeds the solenoid force, the pilot poppet (12) opens. Due to the flow of the pilot oil through port (13) to the tank, a pressure drop is generated at orifice (4) and also at the spring loaded side of the main spool (3) system pressure can then lift it (3) against the force of the return spring (10). The connection is completed between ports and and there is no more pressure increase. Model DEM... s another option the valve can be supplied with an additional spring-loaded pilot valve (14) for maximum pressure safety (redundant pressure safety). We always recommend this model! 5 Electrical Connection Model DE, DEM (without integrated electronics) Connection to coil Connection to connector R /06.98 PE 1 2 Integral electronics for type DEE, DEME unctional description Control of the integral electronics is via the differential amplifier inputs, D and E. The ramp generator produces a gradually rising or falling output solenoid current from the stepped command input signal (0 to 10 V or 10 to 0 V). The rise time is set at potentiometer R14 and the fall time at potentiometer R13. The full ramp time of 5 seconds is only available over the full command signal range. Smaller changes in command value will reduce the ramp time accordingly. The control curve generator modifies the command value/ solenoid current curve in order to overcome any non-linearities in the hydraulics in order to produce a linear command value/ pressure curve. PE 1 2 to amplifier The current regulator controls the current independently of the coil resistance. The gradient of the command value/ current curve and therefore that of the command value/pressure curve is modified by potentiometer R30. Potentiometer R43 is used to set the pilot current. The adjustment should not be changed. If necessary, the null point of the command value/pressure curve is adjustable. The power output stage of the electronics consists of a chopper amplifier. This is pulse width modulated at a frequency of 200 Hz. The solenoid current can be measured at test points MP1 and MP2. voltage drop of 0,352 V at the test resistor corresponds to a solenoid current of 1.6.
