2 Do not attempt to install or use Luminaire until you read and understand this guide and safety labels. Luminaires must be installed by a qualified professional in accordance with all national and local electrical and construction codes and regulations. Ensure that main power supply is OFF before installing or wiring luminaire(s). Do not exceed specified voltage and current input. Do not use luminaires with a damaged lens, body, or cable. Not heeding cautions may result in a hazardous situation which can cause equipment and property damage, personal injury, or death. CAUTION Do not exceed the specified voltage and current input. Do not exceed the maximum number of specified fixtures in a light run. Doing so will result in a current overload. GVA Luminaires have no serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open the units. Do not hot swap! Ensure power supply is off before connecting or disconnecting fixtures. Do not stare into beam or view directly with optical instruments. Unauthorized feild repairs will void warranty. 1.A. SM MOUNTING PLATE INSTALLATION CAUTION Use mounting hardware suitable for the mounting surface. Use of innappropriate hardware may result in dismounting of the bracket and can result in equipment damage, injuries, and death. Failure to select the appropriate hardware may result in the screw heads not being flush with the mounting profile which will hinder the installation of the fixture. NOTE: If installing SM HD Mounting Plate refer to Step 1.B. 1.A.1. Install mounting plate using M5 or No.10 flathead screws suitable for the mounting surface. Refer to "SM MOUNTING HOLE TEMPLATE" to mark holes prior to installation, if necessary. 3 1.B. SM HD MOUNTING PLATE INSTALLATION CAUTION Use mounting hardware suitable for the mounting surface. Failure to select the appropriate hardware may result in the screw heads not being recessed within the mounting profile which will hinder the installation of the fixture. NOTE: If installing SM Mounting Plate refer to Step 1.A. 1.B.1. Install mounting plate in desired location using M6 or No.12 flathead screws suitable for the mounting surface. Refer to "SM HD MOUNTING HOLE TEMPLATE" to mark holes prior to installation, if necessary. 4 2.A. SM BRACKET INSTALLATION 2.A.1. Prior to installation apply LOCKTITE 271 to threads of 4mm security screw (PN: ) MM PIN-IN-HEX SECURITY SCREW Apply LOCKTITE 271 (not supplied) to threads prior to install 2.A.2. Use the provided hardware to install the FL bracket to the mounting plate. Be advised that the main security mounting screw requires a 4mm pin-in-hex allen key for installation, the same allen key can be used to mount the remaining hardware MM PIN-IN-HEX SECURITY ALLEN KEY (supplied) (4MM SECURITY SCREW) / (ROTATION SLEEVE) (NO.4 NYLON WASHER) (NO.4 NYLON WASHER) NOTE: FL100shown in diagram. 2.A.3. Aim the fixture in the desired direction and install the adjustment hardware. 6 3.A. FIXTURE CONNECTION: ELV 3.A.1. When the bracket has been fastened to the mounting plate, connect the input and output jumper cables and/or leader cables to the fixture. Ensure power supply is turned OFF before making any connections. Connecting the luminaire while the power is turned ON may result in equipment damage. 7 4. ACCESSORY INSTALLATION If fixture is installed in high wind or vibration location, apply Locktite 271 (not supplied) on moving screws. Failure to do so may result in equipment damage, serious injury or death. NOTE: If you are not installing any accessories, skip this step Up to three barndoor or visor accessories can be installed onto one FL Series fixture. Line the holes on the back of the fixture up to the holes on the accessory. Use the supplied hardware to attach the accessory to the fixture. HARDWARE REQUIRED: 2 x M4 SCREW (per accessory / supplied) 2 x WASHER (per accessory / supplied) NOTE: FL100shown in diagram. VISOR BARNDOOR NOTE: If the barndoor mechanism is too loose, tighten the cap screw and locknut up to desired preset. NOTE: FL100shown in diagram. 8 5. FIXTURE AIMING 5.1. To aim the fixture horizontaly, loosen the two adjustment screws and rotate to desired location. Torque the screws to 2 Nm with a torque to lock the bracket in place. NOTE: FL100shown in diagram Rotate to desired angle and torque the set screw to 1.5 Nm with a torque wrench to lock the fixture in place. For subsequent vertical adjustment, simply release the set screw and rotate the fixture head. Ensure that the set screw is locked after every adjustment.
