BARRIER PAPER Protected. Optimal packaging for foodstuffs There are hardly any products in the food industry which are not packaged. Packaging is becoming more complex and can do more and more. It is no longer just for preserving or storing foodstuffs or for safe transportation. The focus is on innovative solutions that, in addition to efficient protection of the packaged goods, take into account aspects such as environmental responsibility and the sustainable use of resources. We have six different coating technologies at our disposal for the application of many different functional, protective and barrier coatings to a wide variety of substrates, including multiple and double-sided coatings. BAG WG barricote BAG WG Heat-sealed bags food permanently protected Our barrier paper Barricote BAG WG* offers an excellent combined barrier against grease and oil as well as against water and vapour. This barrier paper is produced from pure virgin fibres and then coated with a special aqueous coating. Due to the very good heat-sealability, Barricote BAG WG is particularly suitable for bag packaging for food and non-food products and is the intelligent alternative to film packaging made of PE, PP or BOPP film. LINER MG barricote LINER MG Glued or laminated No chance for mineral oil migration Laminated or glued packaging made from our barrier paper Barricote LINER MG* provides an optimal and secure barrier against the migration of mineral oils and similar substances, which is demonstrably lower than current draft legislation to protect packaged foods. Analyses by independent institutes (Isega, Intertek) confirm that Barricote LINER MG provides a particularly effective barrier effect. Another advantage of the water-based coating is the barrier against grease and oil. Migration protection corrugated cardboard packaging In the production of Barricote LINER MG we use exclusively virgin fibers. This is the ideal basis for a safe use of our Barricote lining papers for packaging of dry and greasy food such as pasta, oat flakes, cereals, coffee and other bulk food.
