Volkswagen Settlement Overview U.S. EPA, AG and CARB filed a complaint against Volkswagen (VW) alleging Clean Air Act violations for approximately 580,000 model year 2009 to 2016 motor vehicles containing 2.0 and 3.0 liter diesel engines $14.7B settlement for 475,000 2.0 L vehicles in October 2016 $1B settlement for 80,000 3.0L in February 2017 $3 Billion $2 Billion $10.8 Billion
