Lettering is black and Pullman Green. The pair were built in October 1947 and run on Roller Bearing trucks. This paint scheme has the 54 herald See America First Glacier National Park. Upon repaintings, they received the following era-specific paint schemes: Standard post-1947 all mineral red scheme with a white stripe on each right hand door; after 1956 they received the vermillion red scheme; and in 1967 some received the Big Sky lettering scheme. FELD ENTERTAINMENT www.ringling.com Burlington Road Number CB&Q 2322 This 60 railway post office car is painted Pullman Green with gold herald and lettering. It was built in October 1917 by American Car & Foundry and runs on passenger trucks. The Burlington had at least 20 of these Railway Post Office cars in number series 2305-2324. Road Number MCPX 2000 Penn Central Road Number PC 18434 Micro-Trains 2009 Christmas Car Road Number MTL 2009 November 2009 This 36 wood-sheathed ice reefer with truss rod underframe is painted with reefer yellow sides and brown roof and ends. It s lettered in black and red with black turkey silhouette. It was built in November 1927 by the Pressed Steel Car Co., serviced in April 1934 and runs on Bettendorf trucks. The Mandan Creamery & Produce Company of Mandan, ND, also leased NAC cars under its own MCPX reporting marks. MCPX 2000 was assigned to Mandan for a brief period beginning in April 1934. Billboard car side advertising was extensively used by meat packers, breweries and producers of food products 1920 s thru 1938. #058 00 090...$24.30 This bay window caboose is painted Penn Central green with black roof and white logo and lettering. It was built in January 1946, serviced in November 1969 and runs on Swing-Motion caboose trucks. James K. Polk Presidential Car Road Number 1845-1849 This 40 standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is car #15 of a 44-car series representing each of the presidents of the United States. It bears the portrait of our 11th president, James K. Polk. The car comes with a commemorative pin replicated from that era. Committed to geographic expansion, Polk was responsible for the second-largest expansion of the nation s territory by securing the Oregon Territory. He then purchased 525,000 square miles in the southwest through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo that ended the Mexican American War. Chesapeake & Ohio Road Number C&O 605556 This two-bay Centerflow covered hopper is painted yellow with dark blue sill, logo and lettering. It was built in June 1976 by American Car & Foundry in Huntington, WV, and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. This ACF Center Flow design is more compact in design than the cylindrical car style. They have a LO classification, four 30-inch round hatches and two gravity outlets, a 2700 cubic foot capacity and an interior length of 32-foot 1-inches. It was built in November 1973 by Marine Industries Limited of Sorel, Quebec, serviced in Ontario in September 1987, and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. The reporting mark CPI indicates these cars are restricted to international service only and are not to be loaded for domestic points. The cars were leased from North American Car Company by CP Rail. It bears the Western Meadowlark and Indian Paintbrush, Wyoming s official state bird and flower. The flag of the state of Wyoming is in the background. The road number 1890 represents the year the Equality State was admitted into the union. Kansas City Southern Road Numbers 641 / 646 These SD40-2 powered locomotives are painted gray with red and white logos, yellow stripes and red lettering. They were built in 1972 as part of order 7226 for KCS. The EMD SD40-2 is a 3,000 horsepower (2,240 kw) model of C-C diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1972 and February 1986; 3,957 examples were built, and every class 1 railroad in North America has operated this type of loco. Colorado & Southern Road Number C&S 4527 Coke Container Load This 30 gondola with load is painted box car red with white logo and lettering. It was built in 1910 and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Commonly called coal cars, they were actually used for hauling ore, scrap iron, lumber and ballast as well. The series 4498-4547, of which this car is a member, was the first group of steel-framed gondolas built by the Colorado & Southern.
