22 Exterior Exterior 23 Note on the use of winter tyres. Summer tyres provide optimum performance at ambient temperatures above approximately +7 C. Below this point, the tyre compound begins to harden and braking distances are increased. We therefore recommend that you fit winter tyres during the colder months of the year so that you can drive your Macan safe in the knowledge that it will continue to meet our high standards for driving safety even at low temperatures. All winter tyres approved by Porsche are identified by an N designation on the sidewall. The benefits are clear. The tyres have been optimised for low noise emissions and rolling resistance has been reduced, which has a positive impact on fuel economy. The radio is equipped with an RDS twintuner. The six-disc CD/DVD autochanger plays CDs and audio DVDs and is MP3- compatible. Audio playback of video DVDs is also supported. The GPS navigation system has a hard drive containing map data for most European countries. Other features include dynamic route calculation, a 3D map display and automatic route recording. [2] Telephone module The quadband GSM telephone module offers convenience, excellent reception and optimised voice quality. By inserting a SIM card directly into the PCM s integral SIM card reader, you can make calls using the hands-free facility or the optionally available cordless handset. Or alternatively, via the Bluetooth capability of your mobile phone. 2
48 Audio and communication Audio and communication 49 [] Bluetooth handset for telephone module Bluetooth handset display and separate keypad for making telephone calls discreetly. Handset stored in the front centre console. Only available for vehicles with PCM and telephone module. [2] Mobile phone preparation To enable a Bluetooth connection for those mobile phones that only support the Hands-free Profile (HFP), a hands-free facility is available. With HFP, PCM acts merely as a hands-free system. It is possible to control basic functions of the mobile phone using PCM or the optional multifunction sports steering wheel. The GSM connection is established through the aerial of the mobile phone. [3] Voice control system 2 (not shown) Almost all of the functions of PCM can be activated by voice control. The system recognises commands or figure sequences irrespective of the speaker. It gives audible feedback and guides you through the functions. Without needing to train the system, phonebook entries can be retrieved, a radio station selected and navigation destinations entered directly by speaking whole words rather than dictating just one letter at a time. 50 Audio and communication Audio and communication 5 [] Electronic logbook The optional electronic logbook enables automatic logging of mileage, route distance, date, time, starting location and destination for every journey. Once you have downloaded the logbooks from PCM via Bluetooth or the USB interface, the data can be evaluated on your home PC using the software supplied. [2] Online services With online services and the free-todownload Aha Radio app, you can access various online services including Internet radio and personalised online music streaming, news feeds, weather information and podcasts through PCM. PCM also gives you direct access to online Point of Interest searches (with the ability to select them as your navigation destination), Facebook, Google Local Search and much more. The Aha Radio app is available free of charge from itunes and Google Play. Compatible with iphone and Android devices.
