S T A T E O F M I C H I G A N BEFORE THE MICHIGAN PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION * * * * * In the matter of the application of ) DTE ELECTRIC COMPANY for authority to increase ) its rates, amend its rate schedules and rules governing ) Case No. U-18255 the distribution and supply of electric energy, and ) for miscellaneous accounting authority. ) ) At the April 27, 2018 meeting of the in Lansing, Michigan. PRESENT: Hon. Sally A. Talberg, Chairman Hon. Norman J. Saari, Commissioner Hon. Rachael A. Eubanks, Commissioner ORDER APPROVING TARIFFS On April 19, 2017, (DTE Electric) filed an application requesting authority to increase its retail rates for the generation and distribution of electricity by $231 million, and for other forms of regulatory relief including miscellaneous accounting authority. On April 18, 2018, the Commission issued a final order finding a jurisdictional revenue deficiency of $65,239,000, and authorizing DTE Electric to implement rates increasing its annual electric revenues by $65,239,000, on a jurisdictional basis, over the rates approved in the January 31, 2017 order in Case No. U-18014 (April 18 order). In the April 18 order, p. 85, the Commission stated: B. is authorized to implement rates consistent with the revenue deficiency approved by this order on a service rendered basis for service provided on and after May 1, 2018. The attachments to this order, consisting of Attachment A (a summary of revenue by rate class), Attachment B (tariff sheets), and Attachment C (calculation of the capacity charge as updated by this order) are under

review. The Commission anticipates issuing an order approving the attachments as soon as practicable but no later than April 27, 2018. This order approves Attachments A, B, and C, as attached hereto. THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that: A. is authorized to implement the rates summarized in Attachment A and set forth in Attachment B on a service rendered basis for service provided on and after May 1, 2018. Within 30 days of the date of this order, shall file tariff sheets substantially similar to those contained in Attachment B. Due to the size of Attachment B, it is not physically attached to the original order contained in the official docket or paper copies of the order, but is electronically appended to this order, which is available on the Commission s website. Attachment C contains a calculation of the capacity charge as updated by the April 18, 2018 order in this docket. B. When filing the tariffs in conformance with Attachment B, shall also update the Standard Allowance amounts on Tariff Sheet C-30.00, Section C6.2(4)(a), to be consistent with the rates approved in this order. Page 2 U-18255

The Commission reserves jurisdiction and may issue further orders as necessary. Any party desiring to appeal this order must do so in the appropriate court within 30 days after issuance and notice of this order, pursuant to MCL 462.26. To comply with the Michigan Rules of Court s requirement to notify the Commission of an appeal, appellants shall send required notices to both the Commission s Executive Secretary and to the Commission s Legal Counsel. Electronic notifications should be sent to the Executive Secretary at mpscedockets@michigan.gov and to the Michigan Department of the Attorney General - Public Service Division at pungp1@michigan.gov. In lieu of electronic submissions, paper copies of such notifications may be sent to the Executive Secretary and the Attorney General - Public Service Division at 7109 W.
