On pg. no. 5. Sr. no.1. in Parameter - capacity and colour - It is mentioned minimum capacity as 660 Ltr. However in the same column it is also mentioned that the capacity shall be 660 Ltrs and maximum capacity as 780 Ltr. But in Sr. no.5 Dimensions on the same page, the capacity mentioned is 780Ltrs. Hence please inform the capacity of the bin. 2. According to the litre capacity the dimension of the bins also vary. Hence there should be dimension tolerance of +/- 20%. For your information, the standard capacity of such type of bins is 660L. 3. On pg. no. 5. Sr. no.1. in Parameter - capacity and colour - It is mentioned that the waste collection trolley must have 2 compartments. Kindly give us the dimensions of each compartment. 4. On pg. no. 5. Sr. no.1. in Parameter - capacity and colour - It is mentioned that the waste collection trolley must have 2 compartments. It will not be easy to indicate the segregation if the inner compartment with different colours as the user will have to open the single lid to identify the correct compartment. If two separate lids provided then it will be easy understanding to the user at the 1st sight only. Pls. comment. 5. Sr. no.3, Operation mechanism - As per tender specs., the trolley shall include a locking device when it is stationary. Pls. provide us the image of the trolley with locking device. 6. Sr. no.3, Operation mechanism - As per tender specification, the trolley shall include a plugged outlet for washing and draining located at the lowest point on the container body. Kindly give us the image of the same. 7. Kindly send us the representative images of the product having - Inner, Outer, Top, Side and Bottom View with open lids as well as closed lid. 8. Blue colour Bin is mentioned in Virgin proof plastic whereas all other are in stainless steel. If all bins are in Stainless steel as option why are you taking the blue ones in plastic? This does not make any sense. 9. The delivery addresses are not mentioned. Where exactly are the deliveries to be made. Which hospital has how many quantity of bins. Kindly arrange to let us know the exact delivery address of all the states. 10. Are RED BLUE AND YELLOW bins be made in one trolley or are they all arrange in different trollies. Green Bin has to be Answers As per dimensions given, the maximum capacity of the trolley is 780 litres. Please note that this is the maximum volumetric capacity, however the trolley will not be filled till the brim or the top. Hence it is expected an actual load capacity of 660 litres. The capacity of the trolley should be 660 litre with actual capacity more than the required capacity i.e. with tolerance of +-20%. The internal width is mentioned as 1400mm. Hence the size of each compartment is 700mm X 870mm X 640mm. There should be two lids separated for each compartment which are easily distinguishable. The locking device shall be incorporated to the wheels. Please refer to the attached image in Annex 3. Please be reminded that the images are for illustrative clarification purposes only. The blue coloured bin should be cuboidal/rectangular shape bin/crate made of plastic as per requirment of the BMW Rules of 2016. Please note that the blue category contains all glass waste and body implants, however specified disposable for carrying this waste is cardboard box which cannot be fitted inside a circular blue bin. Please also note that the separate cardboard box are not within the scope of the present ITB no. 1100053156. Sample image is given as Annex 4. As mentioned in para 5 of the ToR, The goods shall be delivered to listed end-user as clearly outlined below. Accordingly section 10 of the ToR contains the 5 end-users where to ship the goods (please refer to Contact details of the end-user for the five (5) states in India [...]. Red and Yellow Bins should be in one trolley/frame and the remaining blue and white should be separate individual trolleys
supplied in a different trolley. 11. If RED BLUE & Yellow are in one trolley then how can two are in stainless steel & 1 in plastic. It is not possible nor feasible. 12. Request you to let us know if you have a sample of the bins which we can go and inspect to enable us to develop the product 13. Is there a specific postal agency to be hired for, or we can use services of any courier / postal agency like DHL etc to do so? 14. When you describe the framework for the coloured bins, are you actually stating that some form of trolley is required to hold the red, yellow, blue and green bins in place? D these bins have to be moveable in the same way that the 660L trolleys will be? since Red (Plastic Waste) and Yellow (Infectious Waste) are required at each generation points. The blue and white bins should be at nursing stations. Please see previous Answer no. 10. Unfortunately, no site visit to inspect the bins is foreseen. There is no specific indication on the courier to be used. It is however it is highly recommended that you use a reputable and reliable registered courier service: please note that it is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to make sure that its bid arrives within the established deadline, as stated in the tender documentation. The bin trolley should have wheels for proper cleaning of floor area as per image given in the Clarification round no. 2, Annex 2.
Annex 1 - Revised para 2.4.2 SPECIFICATIONS FOR MOBILE WASTE COLLECTION COVERED TROLLEYS of the Techncial Specifications dated 18 May 2016 (please note that in the table below changes have been made only to the row referring to the Material of the Trolley) Sr. No. Parameter Proposed Specifications 1 Capacity and colour 660 liters collection trolley with four (4) pivoting castors. The base & lids shall be of stainless steel as this will make the trolley steadier and at the same time lighter. Also it shall be powder coated in two colours. 3 Four pivoting castors trolley and fitted with a closing device. The four castors shall be capable of pivoting except when controlled in case of towage. Metal parts shall be corrosion resistant. When the trolley moves in a longitudinal direction, the castors shall be positioned in such a way that they do not exceed the corresponding overall dimensions of the container. The trolley shall include a locking device when it is stationary. In case where locking acts upon the castors, it shall act at the minimum upon two adjacent castors. The trolley shall be lidded made of corrosion resistant material. Operation mechanism The gripping of the containers shall be carried out with the lid closed. The lids shall be embossed with the Bio Hazard symbol. The trolley itself shall be quick to navigate with a grab handle and the four (4) attached pivoting castors, the inner as well as the outer surface of the trolleys shall be easy to clean. The interior of the container body shall be smooth and shall not include any protrusion which may be capable of retaining any waste. The closing device shall not hinder the emptying operation. 4 5 Marking Dimensions In case the trolley is fitted with hinges, they shall be easy to clean and lubricate, if necessary. The trolley shall include a plugged outlet for washing and draining located at the lowest point on the container body. The minimum diameter of a plugged outlet shall be 40 mm. it shall be easily accessible. Each bin shall be marked by Bio Hazard symbol.
