The Esavian name has existed for almost 100 years and continues to represent the ultimate in modern hangar door design, practicality and in-service reliability. The Esavian range comprises two sliding type hangar doors and one folding hangar door. All have the following features: Generally suitable for openings more than 6.0 metres in height (with our Phoenix range better suited to openings below that). They are 'bottom rolling', which means that their weight is carried by a bottom rail and not by the building structure above. Horizontal (sideways) opening. Very tolerant of large building movements or deflections. Inherent security against unwanted external attack. The major controls are at low level where they can be accessed easily. Easily operated from ground level during power failure. Any type of glazing or cladding system can be specified. Fire escape personnel doors without threshold steps can be incorporated. The eight aircraft bays are fitted with Esavian Type 126 sliding doors covering 584m in width and 25.85m in height. The doors slide on a 1.3km radius to match the curvature of the hangar. 2: Esavian Type 126 sliding doors fitted to the awardwinning TAG Aviation hangar at Farnborough airport in the UK. Exceptional doors for exceptional buildings. 3 4 5 3: Esavian Type 127 doors installed on the Marine and Coastguard Agency s search and rescue helicopter hangar at Portland Bill, UK. 4: Esavian Type 126 doors were retro-fitted to an existing search and rescue hangar at Stornoway Airport in the remote Outer Hebrides of Scotland, UK. The doors are designed to open in the extreme storm conditions which the island experiences. 5: Esavian Type 126 doors fitted to a military aircraft hangar in the Middle East. Special high performance solar glass was used to let the light in but keep the intense heat out. 6: Six sets of Esavian Type 126 doors, each 46.75m wide by 14m high, on the Project Red Dragon superhangar at RAF St Athan in Wales, UK.
