This once a year poll is for readers to vote for the models they wish manufacturers to produce in the following year. The votes for N gauge products range from new locomotives to new track ETC ETC. The top locomotive voted by readers for 2009 is the BR Standard Black Five 4-6-0 tender engine with 15 votes. This locomotive was the outright winner in the motive power categories. The most popular diesel was the class142 Pacer 4 wheel rail buses With 11 votes. N news 29.04.2009 4 C Copyright MIKE HUDSON 2009
As you can see it appears that very few readers appeared to vote in the N gauge poll. The organiser of the poll states that N Gauge is the third most popular gauge after O gauge (2 nd ) & 00 gauge 1 st place. This is reflected in the low number of votes placed for each item. If you see the results there are a large number of wish list items to share the vote. However this vote should not be dismissed as both Bachmann & farish have produced items based on there popularity in this vote. To see the full results go to http://www.mremag.com/ and click on page No & scroll down to Monday 13.04.2009. PARKWOOD MODEL KITS. Parkwood model kits. Owned & designed by Stephen Searson well known for his Woodhead based layouts & his resin body kits for the class76 BO-BO electric locomotives is reported to be for sale. It is believed that the N Gauge Society is proposing buying these finely detailed wagon kits to save them for the future. A commendable move in these hard times. It is not known if the N Gauge society has succeeded with this purchase & what there future plans are for this range of plastic wagon kits is at this time. It would be nice to see the N Gauge Society save these wagons for future generations when so much as been lost in the past. I wish the N Gauge Society every success with this endeavour.
