<LEFT FUSELAGE> 1.Locate the three pieces of foam as photo shown. You may need to use hobby knife to cut it off the foam board, this will help the surface from peeling off when removing from the board. 4.Remove the foam in the pre-cut slots on the wing. 6.Join the wing and fuselage with FOAM CA. 9.Locate the rear bottom fuselage and glue the servo tray as shown. Note the orientation before gluing the servo tray, as servo tray should face inside. A B C 2.Remove all the laser-cut out notch then insert and CA the foam pieces as shown. Note: The normal CA glue will melt the foam, suggest to use FOAM CA which you can buy from Hobby Shop. 7.Locate five pieces of foam for bottom fuselage. Apply glue and assemble these 5 pieces as shown. 5.Locate the firewall plywood for five pieces, remove the laser cut area then glue the two pieces of firewall A together next install the two supports B, finally sandwich the wing with the third plywood C by CA Glue. 3.Locate the main wing, then glue the two carbon strips19 (480mm) at the leading edges with enclosed foam glue. This is to reinforce the leading edge. Hint: Apply foam glue on both contact area, let dry for 5~10 min. then join together. 10.Remove the rudder then cut the rudder leading edge as illustration, this will help the rudder move freely. Note the cut area should face the center line of plane after assembly. 8.Trial fit this bottom fuselage assembly on bottom wing. Apply glue and secure it in place firmly. 4 5

11.Carefully apply the tape to seal the rudder and vertical fin. Make sure rudder moves freely. 14.Glue two carbon reinforced strips 8-3/4 (220mm) at the trailing edge of horizontal tail. 17.Use the same way as you did for rudder hinge line, cut the elevator hinge line as shown. Note the cut away area should be at the bottom. 20.Locate the pre-lasercut slot then insert the control horn and secure the horn and back plate together with FOAM CA. Note the two control horns are faced each other as shown. 8-3/8 (213mm) 7-5/8 (186mm) 1-3/16 (30mm) 3/8 (10mm) 3/8 (10mm) 12.Secure the servo on the servo tray. Note the orientation of the servo output shaft. Do the same procedure on the other rear fuselage. 15.Glue the servo tray at the bottom side as shown. 18. Tape the two elevators in place as shown, make sure they move freely. 21.Cut pushrod in length of 213mm(8-3/8 ), then bend it as photo shown. 13.Trail fit the rear fuselage onto the wing, apply glue when satisfied. Do the same way on the other rear fuselage. 16.Secure the rudder servo, note the orientation of servo output shaft. 19.Trail fit the assembled horizontal tail to the fuselage. Make sure the tail is parallel with the main wing if you look from the nose. Trim it if necessary then secure with FOAM CA when satisfied. 22.Install the EZ connector on the servo horn with M2 washer and nut. 6 7

23. Insert the bended pushrod through the EZ connector, next connect one end to control horn, do not secure the pushrod at this moment. Bend about 1cm 90-degree down and connect to the other control horn. Adjust the V-bended area on pushrod to make sure two rudders are parallel to each other. Finally secure the pushrod on EZ connector with 3x3mm setscrew. 26.Cut the rod where you marked and make sure the elevator and servo are both in neutral position, then CA the rod on clevis while two clevises are on the horns. Do the same procedure on the other rod. 29.Install the furnished propeller with the prop nut. Note the orientation of the propeller as this a pusher plane. 32.Secure the Controller and Receiver in the turbine ducts with Velcro or double side tape. Locate the rest carbon strips and glue them at the bottom of the turbine ducts, this is to reinforce the bottom of plane and also done as landing skids. 30.Connect a 12 (300mm) extension wire to receiver, tape the wire away from the propeller. 27.Secure the cross mount on the brusless motor with four 3x6mm sink screws. Install the prop adaptor with three 2x5mm screws as shown. 24.Install the other two control horns on the elevator. Same way as you did on the rudder. 14-9/16 (370mm) 8-5/8 (220mm) 25.Install the elevator servo in place with servo horn attached. Next snap on the clevises on servo horn and control horn. Insert carbon rod to clevis on servo end then make mark on the other end. Make sure the rod is long enough. 28.Secure the motor on the firewall with four 3x8mm wood screws. You may need to enlarge or drill a hole on the fuselage where motor shaft will go in. 8 B A 31.Refer to your radio manual and connect all wires to receiver. We need to set up the Elevon mix control function. Note the CG position for battery tray, if user use 1100~1300mAh Lipo battery then the battery tray is at the position A as photo shown. If use about 2000~2300mAh Lipo battery then the battery tray is at the position B as photo shown. Secure the battery with rubber band. If user do hard turn the battery may fall off, besides rubber band, combines velcro and double side tape is recommended. Congratulations! Now you are ready to fly. Make sure to adjust the plane as the suggestion in next page. 9

CONTROL THROWS The following control throw of Mig-29 EP is merely a starting point for your radio setup and can be tailored to fit your flying style. For all three models the aileron and elevator of the same throws but rudder are different as shown below. 9/16 (15mm) 13/16 (20mm) Elevon/Low Rate Rudder/Low Rate 13/16 (20mm) Elevon /High Rate 9/16 (15mm) 1 (25mm) 1-3/16 (30mm) Rudder/High Rate 1-3/16 (30mm) 1 (25mm) BALANCE It is important to balance the plane to get correct C.G. before you fly.
