G-BA10 HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SETTINGS ARM VALVE MAIN RELIEF ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. Park the vehicle and apply the parking brake; 2. Apply the LOCKOUT/TAG-OUT procedure; 3. Verify the clearance on the side of the vehicle before adjusting the arm valve. Using the manual control levers may cause the arm to extend or retract and the grabber to open or close. Ensure there is nobody near the arm s side of the truck; 4. Put the truck s transmission into neutral; 5. Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump system; ON THE ARM VALVE: 6. Install a 0-6000 PSI pressure gauge on the quick connector of the arm valve (FIGURE #1); 7. Install a manual control lever on the grabber open/close adjustment section of the valve (FIGURES #2.1 & 2.2); 8. Tighten up the valve main relief (FIGURE #3); ON THE ARM PUMP: 9. Follow the hydraulic hoses from the arm valve up to the pump to locate the right pump (the other pump is for the body functions); 10. Loosen the arm pump main relief set screw (FIGURE #4); 11. While holding upward the grabber open/close manual control lever on the arm valve, adjust the arm pump main relief to 3 500 PSI (FIGURE #5); ON THE ARM VALVE: 12. While holding upward the grabber open/close manual control lever, adjust the main relief to 3 200 PSI (FIGURE #3); ON THE ARM PUMP: 13. While holding upward the grabber open/close manual control lever on the arm valve, adjust the arm pump main relief to 2 500 PSI (FIGURE #5); 14. Tighten the arm pump main relief set screw (FIGURE #4). G-BA10 HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SETTINGS 1
LOAD SENSING ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. Repeat steps 1 through 6 from the ARM VALVE MAIN RELIEF ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE; 2. As the pump is running and no hydraulic function is engaged (manual control levers in neutral position), verify the indicated pressure on the gauge. It should be at 300 PSI, which is the load sensing pressure. If not, continue the adjustment procedure below. ON THE ARM PUMP: 3. Loosen the load sense set screw (FIGURE #6); 4. Adjust the load sense to 300 PSI (FIGURE #7); 5. Tighten the load sense set screw (FIGURE #6). Note: to verify if the load sense pressure is set correctly, you can push the grabber open/close manual control lever upward to get the pressure running in the valve (FIGURES #2.1 & 2.2), and then put it back to neutral and watch the pressure on the pressure gauge drop. The pressure should reach and remain at 300 PSI. GRABBER (OPEN OR CLOSE) ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. Repeat steps 1 through 6 from the ARM VALVE MAIN RELIEF ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE; 2. Install a manual control lever on the grabber open/close adjustment section of the valve (FIGURES #2.1 & 2.2); 3. Push the grabber open/close manual control lever downward until the grabber is fully opened; 4. While holding downward the grabber open/close manual control lever, adjust the GRABBER OPEN port relief to 2 500 PSI (FIGURE #8); 5. Push the grabber open/close manual control lever upward until the grabber is fully closed; 6. While holding upward the grabber open/close manual control lever, adjust the GRABBER CLOSE port relief to 1 800 PSI (FIGURE #8). G-BA10 HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SETTINGS 2
