SECTION 1 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (See Figure 1) 1. Review packaging list against the order and the material received. Check all cartons for freight damage. Any which show damage must be noted on the bill of lading before signing. Request damage claim with carrier. If damage is concealed, save packing material and request an on-site carrier inspection and claim. 2. Set left hand or right hand transport (A) in place. 3. Attach carousel (B) to front transport unit (A) using ¼-20 screws (provided). Make sure the steel panels on the customer side are in line or flush with each other prior to attachment of the screws. 4. Set front cash stand (C) in place. Once the holes on the cash stand are aligned with the holes on the transport (A), attach with ¼-20 screws provided. 5. Attach the power pole to the unit. 6. Attach the two pieces of the merchandising-rack filler kit (F) to the side of the front transport by sliding the keyhole slots under the screws provided in the transport and tightening. 7. Attach the keyboard pedestal (G) by locating it on the rail behind the scanner opening. Attach it to the transport with (8) ¼-20 screws provided in the customer panel. 8. Secure the entire system in place using clear silicone caulk. 9. After the entire system is in place, the belt alignment has to be checked. If adjustment is required, follow these instructions: o o o To adjust the unit, remove the (4) screws located on the front stainless steel cover of the conveyor, and remove the cover. If the belt is running to one side, tighten the adjusting bolt on that side approximately ½ turn or loosen the bolt on the opposite side ½ turn using a large slotted screw driver. After an adjustment is made, the conveyor has to be run for three to five minutes to ensure there is no over travel. Finally, re-install the stainless steel cover and screws. 4

SECTION 2 GENERAL CLEANING 1. CARE OF BELT: Daily clean the belt with a Windex type cleaner using Scotch-Brite Delicate Duty style sponge (a soft bristle brush can be used for tougher spots). DO NOT USE PAPER TOWELS. Rub belt with cleaner and sponge. Coarse side of sponge may also be used but finish wipes are to be done with the sponge side. Wipe belt dry with a cloth towel. 2. CLEANING OF UNIT: Wipe clean with damp cloth daily. 3. CARE OF STAINLESS STEEL: Clean stainless steel components with spray window cleaner, wiping in the direction of the grain. 4. MAINTENANCE OF DRUM DRIVE: The Drum Drive System is permanently sealed and no lubrication is required. 6
SECTION 3 TROUBLE SHOOTING WARNING DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER AND DISCHARGE MOTOR CAPACITOR BEFORE WORKING ON ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION 1.Motor will not run Electrical power is off Cycle power with main switch under scanner. SECTION 5 MAINTENANCE Changing Belt and/or Motor Dead Plate Removal STEP 1: Remove (4) four screws that retain the dead plate to the transport located near the back rail NOTE: When ordering a new conveyor belt, specify model and serial numbers. STEP 2: 1. Remove front stainless nose cap 2. Loosen bolts that are threaded into shaft of front idler (approximate bolt length = 4 long) 13
STEP 3: Remove both (2) idler roller bolts. (One side shown) STEP 4: Slide idler roller out of retaining slots ( If only replacing idler roller. Stop here and do steps 4-1 in reverse) 14
STEP 5: Remove pan by lifting out. STEP 6: Remove hinged transition plate attached by remove (2) screws WARNING DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER BEFORE WORKING ON BELT NOTE: The Motor Drive is permanently sealed and no lubrication is required. 15
STEP 7: Remove scanner bracket (cashier side) by removing two (2) screws STEP 8: Remove scanner bracket and filler (customer side) by removing (2) screws. 16

STEP 10: Disconnect wire harness and remove motor from mounts. After the motor is removed, the belt can now be removed and replaced STEP 11: To reinstall removed items, begin in reverse order of the disassembly steps. 18
