WHY YOU CANNOT MISS The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has been encouraging private construction projects to adopt Industrialised Building System (IBS). The Prime Minister has announced in 2016 that in the near future, will be mandatory for government projects of RM10 million and above, and private sector ventures of RM50 million and above to hit an IBS score of 70. Despite a purported initial heavier investment, in the longer term and with economies of scale, it is believed that IBS will result in less wastage of materials, environmental sustainability, reduce dependence on unskilled workers in the country. Many are of the opinion that IBS could be the future to quantum leap Malaysia s construction industry towards Malaysia being a developed nation by 2020. Hear from industry experts, what are some of the key challenges that we need to overcome in promoting the adoption of IBS in Malaysia? What technologies are large scale players in the industry developing? How can medium and smaller sized players be part of the IBS landscape in Malaysia? Role players and participants in this event include those from Government (CIDB, MIDA) various associations, contractors and construction companies, property developers, architects and many others in the supply chain. Join us in this exclusive event. KEY BENEFITS Property Developer: How can you be part of the new IBS landscape when minimum IBS scoring is made compulsory? New practices and sustainable designs.
