Installation Before working under header always:. Perform all combine and header manufacturer safety precautions for servicing header. 2. Insert stop to prevent movement of header. 3. Turn off combine and remove key from ignition. 4. Set combine parking brake. 5. Disconnect all drive shafts from the header. Installation
Installation Installing Terrace Sensors (if equipped). Remove crop divider rod from end dividers. 2. Line up holes of sensor and mounting bracket with spring installed short leg up and long leg back in mounting bracket. 3. Insert pin and secure with retaining ring. Install clamp on adjusting bolt. djust leveling bolt till sensor is level and lock jam nut. 4. Tighten bolt holding clamp on side of sensor. 2
5. Mount sensor assembly to mounting bracket as shown with supplied hardware. Installation 6. Route extension harness through tube and slide in sensor assembly as shown. Clamp assembly in place with bolt and jam nut as pictured. 7. Drill a 3/32 hole in divider using bracket hole as a guide making sure to hold wire out of the way. 8. Install supplied 3/8 bolt and nut with nut on top side. 3
Installation 9. Cover plate must be installed on the bottom of each crop divider. If it is not already installed, it will be stored inside crop divider underneath top plate. Use existing hardware. 4
Installing Standard Sensors (outer sensors). Mount brackets to head with 3/8 hardware provided at location shown. Repeat for both sides. Installation 2. Remove large cover from sensors, retain hardware and covers. 3. Remove bolt holding wiring clamp inside sensor. 4. Mount sensors to brackets with 5/6 hardware provided. Replace bolt and wiring clamp in same location Leave hardware loose for routing of wiring 5
Installation Installing Standard Sensors (inner sensors) When using inner height sensors the Honeybee lateral draper belt runner must be installed to protect the belt. If this part is not on your header (shown in blue), contact your Honeybee dealer to purchase the Lateral Draper Guide Kit using Honeybee part numbers below. Header model 4030 Part #0065 Header models 4036/4040 Part#0066 Header model 4045 - Part#0067. Remove large cover from sensors, retain hardware and covers. 2. Remove bolt holding wiring clamp inside sensor as marked. 3. Mount sensors to existing header brackets with 5/6 hardware provided in back two holes. Leave hardware loose for routing of wiring 4. Reinstall wiring clamp and replace bolt inside sensor body in location marked. 6
Install Terrace Sensor Wiring (if equipped). ttach clamp at location marked with existing hardware. Installation 2. Route harness through slot in divider and continue to follow existing hydraulic hoses. 3. Route wiring to connector on factory installed harness at end of head. Secure with wiring clamps and zip ties as needed. 7
Installation Install Standard Sensor Wiring (outer sensors). Install wiring clamp to right hand mounting bracket as pictured (marked ). 2. Tighten sensor mounting hardware and reinstall sensor cover being sure not to pinch wires. 3. Route wiring harness through rubber grommet as pictured (marked B). B 4. Install wiring clamps to left hand mounting bracket as pictured (marked ). 5. Tighten sensor mounting hardware and reinstall sensor cover being sure not to pinch wires. 6. Route wiring harness through rubber grommet as pictured (marked B). B 7. Route wiring to connector on factory installed harness at end of head. Secure with wiring clamps and zip ties as needed. 8
Install Standard Sensor Wiring (inner sensors). Install wiring clamps to right hand mounting bracket as pictured. 2. Tighten sensor mounting hardware and reinstall sensor cover being sure not to pinch wires. Installation 3. Install wiring clamp to header support as pictured. 4. Tighten sensor mounting hardware and reinstall sensor cover being sure not to pinch wires. 5. Route wiring following support to connector on factory installed harness. Secure with wiring clamps and zip ties as needed. 9
Installation Install Sensor Wands and Tether Cables. Use hardware provided and fasten wand to sensor. Install long wands on all terrace sensors using flange bolts - bolts must extend through back of the metal sensor arm If terrace sensors are not used install long wands on outer standard sensors with -/8 hex bolts Install short wands on all inner sensor with -/8 hex bolts 2. ttach a tether cable to each wand. Use a screwdriver to pry open the slit in the rear of the wand Tether cables are not used on terrace sensors. 3. Fasten the rear of the cable to a secure location on the header. Make sure that the cable cannot catch on any moving or solid parts djust the cable length so that it pulls the arm slightly (/2 ) back from its original position Install Insight Box 4. Using supplied Hardware, attach Insight box to existing mounting bracket. 5. Connect Insight adapter harness to Insight box and connect remaining connectors in line with factory harness connectors. 0
Sensor djustment Insert header stop to prevent movement Terrace Sensor Increasing or Decreasing Voltage. Loosen the screws indicated. 2. Turn sensor to new location. 3. Tighten screws. djusting Voltage Swing. Loosen jam nut B. 2. Turn Bolt to adjust. 3. Rotating bolt counter clockwise increases voltage swing 4. Rotating bolt clockwise decreases voltage swing 5. Tighten jam nut B. djusting Down Pressure. Loosen jam nut. 2. Turn bolt to adjust tension. 3. Rotating bolt counter clockwise decreases down pressure. 4. Rotating bolt clockwise increases down pressure. 5. Tighten jam nut. B Sensor djustment
Standard Sensor Increasing or Decreasing Voltage. Remove sensor cover. 2. Loosen sensor mounting screws. 3. Twist sensor to new position. Twisting sensor clockwise (viewed from the end of the sensor) will increase voltage. Twisting sensor CCW will decrease voltage. 4. Tighten sensor mounting screws. Sensor djustment djusting Down Pressure. Remove spring cover. 2. Loosen indicated nut. 3. Press adjustment bolt toward sensor. Spring tension will release. 4. Preload spring to a new position. 5. Use one wrench to turn the adjustment bolt B. 6. Use a second wrench to tighten the nut. 7. Tightening the bolt (CW) increases spring downpressure. B Make sure that the leg of the spring is fully seated in the shaft to prevent rubbing on the cover plate. 8. Reinstall cover plate. 2

STTEMENT OF LIMITED WRRNTY For Headsight Products Headsight Inc. (Headsight) warrants its new products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (2) consecutive months following the date of purchase by the retail purchaser. Headsight Inc. (Headsight) warrants its new corn sensors assemblies for a period of thirty-six (36) months. Headsight warrants genuine Headsight replacement parts and components to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of six (6) consecutive months following the date of purchase or the remainder of the original equipment warranty period, whichever is longer. Headsight s obligation under these warranties shall be limited to repairing or replacing, free of charge to the original purchaser, any part that, in Headsight s judgment, shows evidence of such defect. Limitations to Warranty This warranty does not cover: Warranty claims directly resulting from improper installation of the product. ny product damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or negligence after shipment from Headsight. ny unauthorized product alteration or modification. ny unauthorized repairs made with parts other than genuine Headsight parts. ny repairs performed by anyone other than Headsight or an authorized Headsight dealer unless specifically authorized by Headsight. Warranty Procedure Troubleshooting should be done between farmer/dealer and Headsight through our technical assistance @ 574.220.55. Labor reimbursement will occur only pre-arranged through Headsight technical assistance and be scheduled to a flat rate basis or reasonable time allowance in Headsight s judgment. There is no mileage reimbursement. Diagnostic time will not be reimbursed except in pre-arranged circumstances. Warranty claims should be on typical dealer service work order with a number and name to be attached for any future correspondence. ll warranty work must be performed, and claims submitted, within sixty (60) days of the occurrence of the claim and within the warranty period. ll parts removed during warranty repair should be help for a period of 60 days after the warranty claim has been submitted to Headsight. Headsight, Inc. reserves the right to either inspect the product at the original retail purchaser s location or require it to be returned to Headsight, Inc. for inspection. Limitation of Liability Headsight makes no express warranties other than those, which are specifically described herein. ny description of the goods sold hereunder, including any reference to buyer s specifications and any descriptions in circulars and other written material published by Headsight is for the sole purpose of identifying such goods and shall not create an express warranty that the goods shall conform to such description. HEDSIGHT WILL IN NO EVENT BE LIBLE FOR NY INCIDENTL OR CONSEQUENTIL DMGES WHTSOEVER, NO FOR NY SUM IN EXCESS OF THE PRICE RECEIVED FOR THE GOODS FOR WHICH LIBILITY IS CLIMED. No representative of Headsight nor any dealer associated with Headsight has the authority to change the items of this warranty in any manner whatsoever, and no assistance to purchaser by Headsight in the repair of operation of any Headsight product shall constitute a waiver of the conditions of this warranty, nor shall such assistance extend or revive it.
