RESOLUTION NO. 2017-34 A RESOULTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BIG BEAR LAKE, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, REQUIRING NO PARKING SIGNS TO BE POSTED ON PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN SPECIFIC AREAS OF THE CITY WHEREAS, Section 10.04.180 of the Big Bear Lake Municipal Code provides that the City Council may determine that it is necessary to prohibit stopping, standing or parking of vehicles on certain highways, or portions thereof, at all or certain hours of the day in order to facilitate the movement of traffic, or to eliminate hazardous conditions; and WHEREAS, as required by the California Fire Code, a twenty-four-foot wide all-weather access road for fire apparatus cannot be maintained if vehicles are allowed to park on one or both sides of portions of certain streets as identified on Exhibits 1 and 2 attached hereto and made a part hereof; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Big Bear Lake does order the posting of signs identifying the no parking restrictions stipulated in Exhibit 1 along the portions of the certain streets in specific areas of the City as identified on Exhibit 2.
