Refer to parts diagram toward the back of this manual to help identify parts during the assembly process. B. Leave all bolts loose for later adjustment unless otherwise specified. C. Read and understand all instructions before beginning. D. Plastic washers have been supplied to provide a weather seal around all exterior fasteners. The plastic washer should be installed under each bolt head directly against the outside cab surface. Care should be taken not to over tighten the fasteners and damage the plastic washer. Also use metal washers as required. E. Apply a clear silicone sealant to seal any minor gaps that may occur due to vehicle variances. For example, windshield cowl to unitized frames. TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/8 IN. DRILL BIT 14 MM SOCKET NO. 2 MEDIUM PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER 19 MM DEEP SOCKET 12 MM SOCKET 3/16 INCH ALLEN DRIVE 3/8 DRIVE 3/8 IN. ELECTRIC HAND DRILL 1/2 IN. SOCKET RATCHET 19 MM OPEN END WRENCH 1/2 IN. OPEN END WRENCH p. 2 of 8

MODEL: KUBOTA GRAND L 30 SERIES HARD & SOFT SIDED CABS 1. VEHICLE PREP. 1.1 Remove grab handles from left and right fenders. 1.2 Pull rubber floor mat up along front and side edges. Once unsnapped, fold back toward center of tractor and temporarily tuck out of the way. 1.3 Remove nuts and lock washers from the left and right tractor floor board mounts with 19 mm deep socket and wrench. Install cab mounts from hardware box with nuts and lock washers. REMINDER: Do not tighten any bolts during installation unless instructed to do so. FIG 1.3 Right side shown. 2. COWL ASSEMBLY 2.1 FOR TRACTORS EQUIPPED WITH A LOADER: Remove the right side window from the cowl to make room for the loader valve. To remove window, insert Phillips head screwdriver into the seam in the window rubber and work around perimeter prying rubber apart. The acrylic window can then be pushed out the front of the cowl. The cowl will need to be pushed on to the loader valve from the rear. It may be necessary to tilt the steering wheel all the way down and pull the throttle all the way back to complete the next step. 2.2 Position the cowl over the hood of the vehicle as shown. HARD SIDED REAR PANEL ASSEMBLY (Optional on Soft sided cabs) 3.1 Assemble left and right rear legs to bottom rear panel with 3/4 long allen head bolts as shown. Install 1 flat bulb to contours at bottom of assembly stopping at notch in bottom of contour. 3.2 Remove hinge bolts from rear of tractor toolbox with 12 mm socket. Install rear panel assembly and fasten bottom in place, reusing the hinge bolts. One inch flat bulb should point to rear of tractor. 4. SIDE FRAMES 4.1 Remove doors from side frames (for easier handling) by unlatching and sliding up and off the hinge pins.. 4.2 Have an assistant hold the left side frame in place and bolt to the front mount with 1 long allen head bolt. Attach to the cowl with a 3/4 long allen head bolt in the top hole only. REMINDER Use a steel and a nylon flat washer on all exterior bolt heads. 4.3 Repeat steps 4.1 and 4.2 for right side frame. 4.4 If installing the hard sided rear panel, install 3/4 long allen head bolts to bottom and middle holes of each rear leg bending the legs around the side frame as you go. Install the top rear panel to the outside of the rear legs and bolt to legs and rear panel with six 3/4 long allen bolts. Line up outside edges of frames and tighten the top bolt on each side. 4.5 If installing soft side rear curtain, install the rear cross brace as shown with two 3/4 long allen bolts. SUPPORT 5.1 Install the windshield support to the left and right side frames with 3/4 long allen head bolts in the bottom holes only. Bolts will be installed in the top two holes during roof installation. Push frames against the flange at the bottom of the windshield support and tighten bolts. 6. ROLL BAR BRACKET 6.1 Install roll bar mounts to left and right side frames with four 1 long carriage bolts (2 per side). Bolt heads should be on the inside of the cab. Nylon washers are not required. Model 3130 through 4630 will use the upper set of holes and Model 5130 will use the lower set of holes. 6.2 Install the roll bar brackets to the roll bar mounts with 1 long carriage bolts as shown. 7. 7.1 Install 3/4 thick spacers from hardware box onto windshield hinges and insert flat head bolts. Have an assistant help lift the windshield in to place and install flat washers and nuts. Attach windshield latches to windshield latch receivers on the cowl by squeezing tabs to retract spring loaded pins. Lift up on bottom of windshield while closing latches. Check alignment of windshield with side frames and tighten hinge hardware. NOTE: Hinges are plastic do not over tighten hardware. Maximum torque 7 ft. Lbs. 8. REAR WINDOW (optional on soft sided cabs) 8.1 Line up the edges of the rear panel assembly with the edges of the side frames and tighten rear panel hardware. 8.2 Install the rear window to the rear panel in the same manner as the windshield was installed in Step 7. 8.3 On soft side cabs with optional rear panel kits, install side windows with three clips and self-drilling screws each side as shown. 9. ROOF 9.1 Have an assistant help lift the roof into place. Install roof with 1 long allen head bolts in the front corners. Use 3/4 long allen bolts in all remaining locations. Tighten all roof hardware. 10. FINISHING TOUCHES 10.1 Tighten the bolts between the bottom of the side frames and the mounts. Tighten floorboard mounts loosened in Step 1.3 Cut notch out of rubber floor mat as shown and reinstall. 10.2 Position the bottom flanges of the cowl on top of the rubber floor mat and install to remaining inserts in side frame with 3/4 long allen head bolts. 10.3 Using the holes in the bottom flanges of the cowl as a guide, drill a 3/8 diameter hole in the tractor floor board. Install a 1 long allen head bolt in each hole and tighten. 10.4 Tighten all remaining hardware. Install plastic nut covers on all exposed nuts on the interior of the cab and the roll bar brackets. 10. FINISHING TOUCHES (cont d.) 10.5 If installing soft side curtains, install Velcro to the back of the frame tubes. NOTE: adhesive backed Velcro should be applied to a clean, dry surface at room temperature. Cut Velcro to match the length of the rear frame tubes below the cross brace. Snap the top of the rear curtain to the cross brace and Velcro to the side frames. Position the curtain along the fenders and toolbox making sure the tool box can still open. Attach adhesive backed Velcro to hold in place. Install the side curtains with Velcro. The curtains Velcro to the inside of the frame on the top and sides. The bottom of the curtain attaches to the top of the frame tube as shown. 10.6 If installing on a tractor with a loader, cut pieces of adhesive backed Velcro to match the Velcro on the loader filler. Install vinyl filler over the loader valve as shown. NOTE: adhesive backed Velcro should be applied to a clean, dry surface at room temperature. Apply adhesive backed Velcro to the cowl and tractor. 10.7 Install doors onto side frames by sliding back on to pin hinges. On hard sided doors, install gas springs from hardware kit with the rod end on the door side. 10.8 Install wiper motor and any other accessories according to the instructions included with the kits. Fig. 10.3.1 Rear curtain Fig. 10.5.2 Side curtains Fig. 10.6 Loader Valve Filler CARE & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Check and tighten hardware after 40 hours of operation. Periodically inspect and tighten hardware for the remainder of the unit s life. Wash the painted surfaces of the unit with commercial automotive cleaning products. Clean windows with glass cleaner. Vinyl components should be washed with a mild solution of warm soapy water. Clear vinyl can be easily scratched. Be careful cleaning frost or snow from windows. Do not roll curtains in cold weather. The windows become stiff and may crack. Keep windows clean. p. 6 of 8
