Trnsom Mount Instlltion TWIST TILLER MODELS MOUNT INSTALLATION 1. Clmp srews: The lmp srews llow for esy motor instlltion nd removl. Mount your motor on the trnsom nd then tighten the lmp srews seurely. 2. Tilt position pin: This pin llows you to djust the tilt of the motor. 3. Depth ollr djustment: The depth of the motor n be djusted up nd down by loosening the depth ollr knob. The depth ollr is loted on the olumn diretly bove the mount. After djusting to the position nd depth desired, tighten the knob. 4. Steering tension djustment: To djust the steering resistne, simply tighten or loosen the steering frition knob. Pontoon Mount Instlltion 1. Crefully selet the re on the dek to instll the mount. Choose n re where the mount will provide mple lerne for ll of the motor positions, inluding the running nd stowing positions. 2. Ple the mount bse on the surfe of the bot dek where it is to be mounted; use the mount bse s templte to mrk the lotion of the holes. 3. Drill mounting holes with 6.5 mm (0.25 in.) drill bit nd ler the holes of ny debris. Countersink the holes (only on fiberglss bots) nd gin ler ny remining debris from the holes. 4. Instll the four stinless steel mounting bolts through eh of the brket mounting holes. 5. Instll the four stinless steel wshers nd nuts on the bottom side of the dek nd tighten seurely. 6. The trolling motor n now be pled in the mount. Bow Mount Instlltion IMPORTANT: Choose n re on the dek tht provides 7.6 m (3 in.) lerne from the bow of the bot for ll motor positions, inluding deployed nd stowed positions. 18

MOUNT INSTALLATION 1. Selet n pproprite re on the dek of the bot to instll the mount. Ensure the forwrd mounting srews will not penetrte the hull. 41280 Mount on dek with 7.6 m (3 in.) lerne 2. Drill the mounting holes with 6.5 mm (0.25 in.) dimeter drill bit. Remove ny debris. 19

MOUNT INSTALLATION 5. If using rubber mounting isoltors, drill eh mounting hole with 13 mm (0.5 in.) dimeter drill bit. 39076 NOTE: A rubber sper or wsher should be used between the bse of the mount nd the bot mounting surfe when the rubber isoltors re not used. 6. Insert the rubber mounting isoltors into the drilled holes. Position the wider side of the isoltor towrd the outside of the mount brket. 7. Ple the mount brket on the isoltors nd lign the holes. Instll the two longer srews into the front holes nd the two shorter srews into the rer holes. Tighten ll of the mounting srews with Phillips srewdriver. Do not tighten the mounting srews with n eletri srewdriver. NOTE: It is importnt tht the brket lies even ginst the isoltors before bolting it to the dek. If the mount is not even, it will bind s it is bolted down mking it diffiult or impossible to unlth. One instlled, the lth pins should snp firmly into ple nd relese esily with quik snp of the wrist nd light pull of the rope hndle. 8. When the brket is instlled, it should fsten seurely nd evenly with the lth pins nd relese with light, quik, pull of the rope hndle. 20
