Cutting costs and smart improvements of the quality should have priority over heavy investments. With its comprehensive portfolio Lechler offers a broad variety of tools and services for optimizing rolling process. This way, we care for our customers in an on-going after sales support. As an indispensable actuator for shape control, SELECTOSPRAY is an essential part of this commitment. It corrects reliably asymmetrical strip shape defects and supports work roll bending. To date, more than 300 Lechler SELECTOSPRAY roll cooling systems have been installed globally in cold rolling mills for steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals, as well as in aluminium hot rolling mills and foil mills. With our maintenance services we ensure that this technology improves your rolling quality on the long run meter for meter for meter. PROFESSIONAL MAINTENANCE RIGHT FROM THE SOURCE High mill productivity and good strip quality can only be achieved if all mill actuators, including the Selectospray System, are operating trouble free. Thus regular and routine maintenance is essential for ensuring the optimum performance of the system and the entire mill consequently. Any faulty or worn components should be replaced or repaired immediately. Unfortunately, on-site plant personnel don t always have the skills for these tasks. Servicing our customers already since more than 10 years with our local head office and service center in Beijing and eight branch offices in China Lechler has become a truly local organization. Our main focus lays on plant life cycle service and support for our customers. This includes the supply of genuine spare parts, site inspection, repair, refurbishments or onsite maintenance, consulting and training for our selective roll cooling systems SELECTOSRAY. HOW WE SUSTAIN AND OPTIMIZE YOUR PLANT S QUALITY Every rolling plant has its own priorities. And not every maintenance measure is necessary in every case. That s why our services come as part of a modular kit from which you can choose the maintenance you really need. On site system inspection Scheduled preventive maintenance on-site Revolving off-site header and hose refurbishment Consulting and training During a mill shutdown our experts carry out a visual assessment together with mechanical, pneumatical and electrical function and spray tests of the selective roll cooling system. Our findings will be summarized in a comprehensive report including results and recommendations. Unscheduled on-site repair If need be, we carry out necessary repairs during mill a shutdown, provided the required spare parts are available on site. Our experts carry out regular and scheduled visual assessments and functional tests. They change typical wear parts and any other faulty or worn components or repaired them. Yearly maintenance contracts are the basis for such cooperation and offer you maximum cost transparency. One time off-site refurbishment Sometimes valved spray headers, control hoses and control cabinets have experienced damage or wear which require maintenance beyond an on-site repair job. In those cases the equipment can be brought back to one of the Lechler service centers in Sheffiled / UK, Beijing / China, St. Charles Il. / USA or Thane / India for repair and refurbishment. On-site repair or preventive maintenance of all valves may require a mill shut down longer than desirable. Therefore Lechler has introduced the revolving header service. After a defined operation period headers will be sent to the Lechler service centers for refurbishment whilst a newly refurbished header can be put into the mill for trouble free operation. Prior to the refurbishment an assessment report together with a quotation will be sent to the customer for approval. Our experts provide operation and troubleshooting training on-site. Consulting regarding the optimal application of the coolant in other mill stands for process improvements can also be given.
