Any truck driven in an unsafe manner in any area of the event will be disqualified from the event. Head lights while hooked to sled. Parking lights or gauge lights ok to leave on. 2. Any alcohol or controlled substance before or during the pull will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. 3. Seat belts are mandatory and must be worn during the pull. Helmets recommended. 4. Any safety equipment, mufflers, weights, or any part of hitch that fall off the truck while hooked to sled will result in disqualification. General Rules 1. All drivers must be 16 years old or older and have a valid driver s license. Any driver under the age 18 must have written permission from a legal guardian. 2. All trucks must weigh in before pulling; truck pull tech committee may inspect or reweigh the truck at any time. 3. First puller may refuse pull and drop to any position. Must take second measurement. 4. Second chance to pull sled is allowed immediately only if measure less than 75 ft. 5. Once the sled is ready for competition pullers have 3 minutes to be hooked to the sled. 6. In the event of a pull off, trucks will pull in the same order that they originally pulled, and will have one attempt to pull the sled. No dropping of position. 7. Any part of truck or sled that goes out of bounds under the green flag will be disqualified. 8. A floating finish may be used at discretion of track crew. 9. No passengers allowed in vehicle during pull. 10. Un-sportsman like conduct, including abusive language or physical action towards truck pull tech committee or fellow competitors, will result in suspension from pull. 11. Truck pull tech committee has final say in all matters. Factory Stock Gas 6500 LBS and 7000 LBS 1. Must be factory stock- 472 cubic inches max or factory installed engine for that year truck. 2. Must have current license and insurance to match vehicle.
3. Must be a daily driven truck. 4. Production cast iron intake and production exhaust manifold- run past rear of cab with mufflers. 5. Must be street legal to Illinois laws. 6. Retains factory suspension, may be blocked, traction bars allowed must be removable. 7. Production 4X4 frame (no altered frames, must match sheet metal) maximum 1-ton drive train. 8. 26 max hitch height, no part of hitch, hitch brackets, hitch braces, chains, or straps shall be above top of frame rails. 9. Hitch must be bolted to rear of frame rails, no mid mount hitches, no structures from hitch to axle. No part of hitch mounting brackets forward of 18 to center of rear axle. 10. Hook point hole must be horizontal and behind frame rails with a full 3.5 hold with a maximum 1.5 X1.5 at hook point. 11. Must be removable Reese style hitch, pull pin to pull hitch out- remember this is a factory stock class. 12. Recommended to have a kill switch near the hook point. 13. D.O.T. (no altered tires). 14. Pre 80 s, 4X4 can have big block not bigger than 472 cubic inch. 15. Factory 4X4 wheelbase and track width for that year truck. 16. No weight bars hanging on front or in cab, weight in bed only!! 17. Highly recommended to have drive shaft loops and u-joint shields at front and rear pinions. 18. Fuel tank must be in factory location. 19. No body cutting or gutting. 20. Can have performance fuel pump such as Edelbrock or Holley, electric fuel pumps are allowed, fuel line not to exceed 3/8 I.D. from pump to carb. 21. 140 wheelbase max. If over-lose 500 LBS, or 3 of hitch height. 22. $200 cubic inch protest fee, $50 goes to pump technician. Pump tech has final ruling. Factory Stock Diesel 1. Axles, drive-train, and engine blocks all must be O.E.M., no programmers. 2. O.E.M. turbo, intake and exhaust manifolds for production year of truck. 3. Trucks must be street driven, daily driver, current license and insurance. 4. Factory dual wheel trucks allowed. 5. Must retain factory working suspension, traction bars and blocks must be removable. 6. Production 4X4 frame (unaltered). 7. 26 max hitch height. 8. Hitch must bolt to rear of frame, no structures from hitch to rear axle. 9. Hook point must be behind frame rails with hole past the end of the frame rails. 3 X3.75 with 10. Recommended to have a kill switch near the hook point. 11. D.O.T. 35 max tire height (unaltered). 12. Factory 4X4 wheelbase and track width.
13. Weight bars allowed 60 from center of axle to end of weights. 14. Absolutely no passengers while pulling, if so driver will be disqualified. 21. Truck pull tech committee has final say of the rules. Super Street Gas 6500 & 7000 1. Must have cast iron OEM block and heads unless aluminum heads from factory for that year truck. Aluminum intake and headers allowed no sheet metal intake allowed. Engine in factory location. 2. Must have current license and insurance to match vehicle with street able exhaust past rear of cab. 3. Must retain factory suspension, may be blocked (must be removable). Traction bars are allowed, front and rear, must be removable. 4. Must have 1 ton or less drive train in factory location unaltered frame and engine in factory location. 5. 26 max hitch height, hitch length no less than 43 from center of axle to back of horizontal hitch hole. 3 X3.75 hole 1.5 X1.5 thick. Hitch must bolt or weld to rear of frame, with no structures from hitch to rear axle. No part of hitch, hitch brackets, chains, or straps shall be above top of frame. 6. Single 4150 base carburetor. 7. 500 cubic inch limit. Recommended SFI approved bell housing or blanket, harmonic balancer, and steel flywheel. 8. Kill switch mandatory at hook point and driver accessible fire extinguisher. 9. D.O.T. max 38 height tires (unaltered). 10. Factory wheelbase and track width. 11. Weight bars allowed (60 max from center of front axle to end of weights or weight rack). 12. Must have drive shaft loops 1/4 by 1 and 1/8 by 3 u-joint shields on both front and rear pinions, u-joint shields must be at least 3 by 1/8 thick steel or ¼ aluminum. 13. Fuel tank and battery and radiator must be in factory location or in bed, not out front by weights. 14. No flat beds or dually allowed. 15. Absolutely no gutting or cutting of the body- or bed must retain full interior. 16. No 100% alcohol and no nitrous. 17. Absolutely no passengers allowed in vehicle while pulling.
18. Must have rear leaf spring pack min 3 leafs. 19. 140 wheel base rule, if over loose 500 LBS or 3 of hitch height. 20. $200 cubic inch protest fee, $50 goes to pump technician. Pump tech has final ruling. 21. Any complaining shall be brought to the tech committee s attention, tech committee has final decision. Super Street Diesel 8500 & 9500 1. Axles, drive-train, and engine blocks all must be no bigger than one ton. 2. O.E.M., intake and exhaust manifolds single turbo up to 2.6. No twin turbos unless came from factory for the year of that production. 3. Trucks must be street drive, daily driver. Current licenses and insurance. Programmers allowed. 4. Factory dual wheel trucks allowed. 5. Must retain factory working suspension traction bars and blocks must be removable. 6. Production 4X4 frame (unaltered). 7. 26 max hitch height. 8. Hitch must bolt to rear of frame, no structures from hitch or rear axle. 9. Hook point must be behind frame rails with hole past the end of the frame rails. 3 X3.75 with 10. Engine must match make of vehicle, engine must be no farther forward than 12 rear of block to center of front axle. 2. Trucks must be naturally aspirated- no 100% alcohol or NOS, single four barrel carburetor only. 3. Trucks can have electric water pump, fuel pump, and fans. 4. Must have S.F.I. approved bell-housing or blanket and driver accessible fire extinguisher. 5. Must have S.F.I. approved steel flywheel and harmonic balancer.
6. Open headers allowed pointing down and back, recommended no straight down to blow dust. 7. 26 max hitch height, ridged all directions. No part of hitch brackets, hitch braes, chains, or straps shall be over 2 above frame rails. Any amount of short hitch will be subtracted from hitch height. 8. No mid mount hitches (no hook points forward from the center of the real axle, hitch has to be 33% wheel base no less from center of axle to hook point) 3 X3.75 horizontal hole with 9. Must have kill switch mandatory near the hook point, may be randomly checked. 10. D.O.T. no bigger than 35 X 12.50 or 33 X 15.50 tire size (unaltered) max 18 diameter wheels. 11. Must have ¼ by 1 drive shaft loops and 3 wide by 1/8 thick minimum u-joint shields at all u- joints. 15. Axles must be 1 ton or smaller. No duals allowed. O.E.M. size and style usable flat bed allowed. 16. Must have full functioning O.E.M. style brakes on front axle, disc or drum brakes. 17. Cutting and gutting allowed, in bed only. Must be covered by Tonneau cover etc. Cab must have factory full firewall and floorboards. Discretion of tech committee applies. 18. No fuel cells or batteries in cab, maybe in bed or out front not past weights. 19. Rear tires must rack at least ½ of front tire. 20. No fiberglass body parts except hood. 21. $200 cubic inch protest fee, $50 goes to pump technician. Pump tech has final ruling. Modified Street Diesel 8500 1. Water injection, propane and NOS allowed. 2. Must have -2-3/8 cross bolts in exhaust. 3. Must have 1 ton or smaller axles. Dual wheels allowed. 4. Trucks must run on No.2 diesel. 5. Trucks can have fuel cells. 6. Production 4X4 frame (unaltered). 7. 26 max hitch height. 8. No mid mount hitches, no hook point past center line of axle 3 X3.75 hole with a max of 9. Hook point must be behind frame rail with a full 3.75 hole past the frame rails. 10. Must have kill switch near the hook point. 11. D.O.T. max 35 tire height (unaltered). 12.
