All INDICATING. DESCRIPTION A. Fuel Quantity Serials 005 thru 885: A fuel quantity gage is installed in the center console directly forward of the fuel selector valve. The fuel quantity gage indicates the amount of usable fuel remaining in each fuel tank. One float type fuel quantity sensor is installed in each integral fuel tank. The fuel level sending units are not adjustable. To adjust the fuel quantity gage reading, the gage itself must be adjusted. The fuel quantity gage is a 2¼ dual indicator, with separate needles and markings for the LH and RH fuel tanks, and a range of 0 gallons to full (F). The gage has a yellow arc from 0 to 8.2 gallons, a red line at 0 gallons, and a red arc from 0 gallons down to the minimum meter movement. The gage has 4 separate needle adjustment trim potentiometers for full and empty indications on the LH and RH tanks. Each indicator also provides an output signal to illuminate the FUEL caution light when the fuel quantity is low. These outputs are monitored by the caution/warning annunciator panel to indicate a low fuel condition. The gage is internally lighted with externally replaceable lamps, and has non-reflective glass. 28 VDC for fuel quantity system operation is supplied through the 3-amp FUEL QTY circuit breaker on Main Bus. Serials 886 thru 255: A fuel quantity gage is installed in the center console directly forward of the fuel selector valve. The fuel quantity gage indicates the amount of usable fuel remaining in each fuel tank. Two float type fuel quantity sensors are installed in each integral fuel tank, one on the inboard rib and one on the outboard rib. The gage has a yellow arc from 0 to 8.2 gallons and a red line at 0 gallons. The gage has 4 separate needle adjustment trim potentiometers for full and empty indications on the LH and RH tanks. The annunciator indicates low fuel with 8.5 to 7 gallons remaining during level flight. Serials 256 & subs: A dual reading fuel quantity indicator is displayed in the Fuel Qty block of the ENGINE page along calibrated vertical bars. The fuel quantity indicator indicates the amount of usable fuel remaining in each fuel tank. When the ENGINE page is not shown, all essential fuel information is shown on the engine strip displayed along the edge of the MFD. The LEFT pointer indicates left tank fuel quantity and sweeps a scale marked from 0 to 28 U.S. gallons. The RIGHT pointer sweeps an identical scale for the right tank. Each scale is marked with a red line at zero, a yellow band from 0 to 8.2 U.S. gallons, and a green band from 8.2 to 28 U.S. gallons. The indicators are calibrated to read 0 gallons when no usable fuel remains in level flight attitude. Two float type fuel quantity sensors are installed in each integral fuel tank, one on the inboard rib and one on the outboard rib. The fuel level sending units are not adjustable. Fluid quantity information is sent to the Engine Airframe Unit, processed, and transmitted to the Fuel Quantity Gage for display. 28 VDC for the fuel quantity system is supplied through the 3-amp FUEL QTY circuit breaker on MAIN BUS. Serials 256 thru 2292: The 28 VDC is converted to 2 VDC for the fuel quantity sensors through the Level Sensor Power Circuit Card.
