Planning for growth WAKE COUNTY s population already exceeds ONE MILLION and grows by more than 60 people a day. That s 23,000 people a year or basically another Morrisville.

Wake Transit Referendum Wake County voters approved a transit-dedicated half-cent sales tax investment to expand and better connect the public transit network Over 10 years, investments in public transportation will connect the region, connect all Wake County communities, provide frequent and reliable urban mobility and enhance access to transit. Connecting bus service to places in the county where it doesn t exist today. Improving the customer experience with better stops and waiting areas, more park-and-ride locations and technology that makes it easier to use transit.

Extending service in Southeast Raleigh. Realigning Rex Hospital route to include service to the N.C. Museum of Art and the N.C. Fairgrounds.
