Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the proper operation and maintenance procedures in order to maximize the safe and efficient use of the product. Keep this manual at hand, so that you can refer to it at any time. Due to constant efforts to improve our products, certain procedures and specifications are subject to change without notice. CONTENTS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS............................ 1 COMPONENTS.................................... 3 BEFORE STARTING OPERATION..................... 4 INSTALLATION AND OPERATION.................... 10 TROUBLESHOOTING.............................. 15 SPECIFICATIONS................................. 16 WIRING DIAGRAM................................ 17 ROBIN generator RG3200iS or RG4300iS is recommended to be equipped with this lighting system. In case other generator is used for this lighting system, make sure to mount the generator onto the frame securely.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Please make sure you review each precaution carefully. Pay special attention to statement preceded by the following words. DANGER indicates a strong possibility of severe personal injury or loss of life if instructions are not followed. WARNING indicates a possibility of severe personal injury or loss of life if instructions are not followed. CAUTION indicates a possibility of personal injury or equipment damage if instructions are not followed. For ensuring safety, operate it by referring fully to the cautionary messages as follows: : Overturn may occur. Install it correctly for operation. Operate the lighting system by setting up the generator securely with the light cart. Set it up on a level and solid ground. Do not use it on an inclined place. In order to avoid overturn, be sure to apply brake before operation. Avoid operation under a bad weather such as in strong wind (wind speed of more than 10m/sec. : ex. thick branch of tree shakes, power line sounds, umbrellas are hard to be open, and the like). Do not get on the mast and the generator. When moving and transporting it and when it is not in use, retract the mast to its extreme. Be sure always to use the lifting hanger when lifting up the light cart. : Lamp assembly may drop. Be sure to wear helmet when operating the lamp assembly. Do not winch it up in counterclockwise rotation. Check the winch wire rope that it does not have loose threads and gets out of place before operation. Do not pull out the mast lock pin when the wire rope has been loose. : You may get an electric shock or a burn. Do not operate it with wet hands. Operation of the light cart wet with moisture may develop Be sure to earth the generator. into breakdown such as short-circuit or it is likely to get an electric shock during operation. Do not operate it in the rain or in the snow. Never try operation when the light cart is wet with moisture. The balloon lamp assembly has not been designed waterproof. Do not leave or operate it exposed to the rain and the snow, or put in a place possible to be splashed by water. Do not touch any of the power plug terminals during operation, otherwise you may be attacked by an electric shock. Stop operation of the generator when checking and replacing the bulb and the wiring. : It may cause to catch fire The bulb becomes extremely hot while it is being lighted up. Lighting it up near combustible materials (such as dry straw, waste paper, chip of wood, and volatile oil) may cause fire. Do not shine light to a building at a very close distance. : Do not use it at poorly ventilated area such as indoors or inside of tunnels. Otherwise, you may be poisoned by engine exhaust in which harmful components such as carbon monoxide is contained.

Set up the light cart more than 1m away from buildings and other structures. Irradiate the light in the direction of generator side. Check that no obstacles such as power lines are in the ascending direction of the balloon lamp assembly.
