Mounting And Maintenance Instructions Model AGS In-Line Filters A. Mounting 1. The AGS filter can be mounted in two ways: a. The filter is mounted as an integral part of the piping system without use of a bracket. b. The filter is mounted to a bracket by means of four bolts fitted in the head. 2. In both situations, it is necessary to mount the filter in a vertical position. The space below the filter must be sufficient to remove the bowl when changing the element. B. Maintenance 1. When the differential pressure over the filter reaches the described value, the element should be changed. The following steps must be executed: a. Ensure that the system pressure is zero. b. Unscrew the notched ring and remove the bowl. c. Check the seals in the filter housing and replace if necessary. d. Remove the used element from the bowl. e. Install the new element with the opening positioned up. f. Press the bowl manually against its seat. g. Tighten the ring until the bowl is pressed slightly against the seat. h. Fasten the ring another ¾ turn by hand. Four markers are fitted in the ring, each indicating ¼ of the circumference. i. Start up the system. j. Check if the differential pressure over the element is correct. Note: Secure an environmental disposal of the used filter element. C. Wiring Diagram: 1. For electrical indicator. 67
