Carolina Truck and Tractor Pullers LIGHT PRO STOCK TRACTORS 1. All OEM chassis rules (No component chassis allowed), including shielding, safety, & SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules. 2. Maximum tire size not to exceed 24.5x32. 3. Maximum weight 8500 lbs. 4. No engine larger than 540 cid. (+ or - 1%) 5. Engine head must be OEM agricultural-type for that brand engine. (No billet) 6. No overhead cams allowed. Maximum 2 valves per cylinder. 7. Diesel fuel only. P-7100 injection pump is the largest allowed. (2-5/8 W X 9-9/16 L X 8-3/16 H main pump body) Only one plunger per cylinder allowed. 8. Maximum of one turbo, any size may be used. 9. No inner/after coolers allowed. No CO2 or any other means of cooling the air in the piping or manifold. No ice filled or ice cooled devices onboard tractor of any kind. All engine air must enter the inlet of the turbo at ambient air temp & humidity. Inlet air may not be drawn through or across any type of cooling device. LIMITED PRO STOCK DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS 1. This class will follow all PPL rules including shielding, safety, & SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules. 2. Maximum wheelbase of 172 allowed. 3. A factory installed pickup bed, aftermarket or custom bed with a solid floor must be installed. 4. The turbocharger is limited to a smooth-faced intake housing, maximum of a 3.0 inlet (no map groove) with all air entering through the 3.0 opening. Intake wheel must protrude 1/8 inside the opening. OR; A 2.6 inducer bore turbocharger. The compressor wheel must protrude into the 2.6 bore for 1/8. All primary blades must protrude into the 2.6 bore. The inlet will be measured using a 2.605 plug, the plug must not be able to enter the inducer bore. A stock MAP groove is allowed with a maximum width of.200. All provisions allowing air into the wheel other than the inducer bore & the MAP groove are prohibited. No removable bushings, no provisions to alter the inlet bore or MAP groove are allowed. The driver will be responsible for making turbo accessible for tech personnel to measure and inspect. 5. Water injection is permitted. No oxygen carriers or combustion accelerators allowed, only water soluble oil permitted. All trucks must have a water injection sampling valve, if no valve exists, the tank supply line will be unfastened to produce a sample.

SUPER STOCK TRACTORS 1. All Super Stock rules, including shielding, safety, & SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules. 2. Maximum tire size not to exceed 30.5x32. 3. Maximum drawbar height for all tractors is 20. 4. No overhead cams allowed. Maximum 2 valves per cylinder. 5. No engine larger than 650 cid. Maximum of 8 cylinders permitted. 6. Maximum of four turbos, maximum of 3 pressure stages. 7. Diesel Super Stock Tractors; A. Tractors with 4 turbos & 3 pressure stages are limited to 540 cid. Maximum weight of 8300 lbs. B. Tractors with 3 or less turbos are allowed 650 cid. Maximum weight of 8500 lbs. 8. Alcohol Super Stock Tractors; A. Tractors with 2 or less turbos are allowed a maximum weight of 8500 lbs. B. Tractors with more than 2 turbos are allowed a maximum weight of 8000 lbs. 9. Pro Stock Tractors: A. Maximum weight of 9000 lbs. B. Must follow all other PPL Pro Stock Tractor rules. SUPER MODIFIED TWO WHEEL DRIVE TRUCKS & PRO MODIFIED 4x4 TRUCKS (See East Coast) Sportsman Classes HOT FARM TRACTORS East Coast Pullers 466 Hot Farm tractors may compete in this class at a weight of 9500 lbs. 1. All OEM chassis rules (No component chassis allowed), including shielding, safety, & SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules. 2. All tractors will require a SFI Spec. 47.1 roll cage, ROPS will not be allowed. 3. Engine, sheet metal, transmission, & rear-end must be of the same manufacturer. 4. Maximum weight 9500 lbs. 5. Maximum tire size not to exceed 24.5x32. No Puller 2000, HP, Parkes, or Pro Puller tires will be allowed. 6. No engine larger than 466 cid. 7. OEM Cylinder Head. No recast, no aluminum. No overhead cams allowed. Maximum 2 valves per cylinder. 8. Single feed intake & exhaust manifolds must be OEM. 9. Diesel fuel only. 10. A P-7100 injection pump is the largest allowed. (2-5/8 W X 9-9/16 L X 8-3/16 H main pump body) Only one plunger per cylinder allowed. 11. A single S400 based turbocharger is permitted with a maximum intake wheel inducer size of 3.0 intake wheel x 3.0 exhaust. Compressor wheel must extend into the inducer bore and cover the map groove. Factory style map width enhancement groove is permitted; no other means for air to get to the compressor

wheel are permitted. No billet intake wheels. No ball bearing turbo s T-4 flange only (2.75 X 3.50 bolt pattern). No modifications to compressor wheel or housing (only to plumb air pipe to intake). Turbo size will be checked using a 3.005 plug. All turbochargers in this class must be purchased from Bounty Hunter Engineering. 12. Turbocharger buyout rule; In order to keep the class fair & economical, any competitor s turbo may be purchased by any other competitor at any time at a price of $1,700. Failure to sell your turbo will result in automatic disqualification as well as loss of accumulated points up to that point in the season. A brand new turbo & gasket kit will be available for purchase at any sanctioned hook for this class at the price of $1,700 in the CTTP entry trailer. Any competitor who purchases another competitor s turbo may return the turbo to Bounty Hunter Engineering for inspection of internal modification. Any competitor whose turbo is found to be illegally modified will suffer penalties as found in the PPL rulebook, page 6, #5 of the protest section, as well as loss of accumulated points up to that point in the season. 13. Water injection is allowed. 14. No inner/after coolers allowed. No CO2 or any other means of cooling the air in the piping or manifold. No ice filled or ice cooled devices onboard tractor of any kind. All engine air must enter the inlet of the turbo at ambient air temp & humidity. Inlet air may not be drawn through or across any type of cooling device. PRO STOCK 4X4 TRUCKS 1. Maximum weight of 6500 lbs. 2. Front weights may not extend more than 60 from centerline of the front axle. No loose weights allowed anywhere in the vehicle. Front weight boxes will be rigid & have a minimum of 8 ground clearance. 3. OEM frame rails only, no tube chassis allowed. 4. OEM steel truck bodies only. No flatbeds, no fiberglass or plastic bodies allowed. 5. Clear plexi-glass, or factory tint glass permitted. 6. Front tow hitch must be strong enough to pull, push, or lift the vehicle. 3 hole is required. 7. No mud flaps or dirt deflectors allowed. 8. No fuel tanks, fuel lines, pressure gauges, pumps, batteries, cooling system components or coolant lines allowed in the cab. All hydraulic lines in the cab must be shielded top & sides with a minimum of.060 aluminum. 9. Engine must have been available as a factory option in a one-ton or smaller pickup truck. 10. Maximum of 600 cid. 11. Maximum of 2 valves per cylinder. 12. Aluminum blocks are allowed, factory bore spacing must be retained. 13. No form of forced induction, no fuel injection systems allowed. 14. Unlimited single carburetor, dual carburetors are limited to a maximum of 4150. 15. No sheet metal, or tunnel ram intake manifolds. 16. Exhaust must discharge vertically, or underneath & straight back. 17. No computer or programmable ignition controls allowed. Read-only data acquisition systems will be permitted. 18. Rear of engine block must be at least 12 behind centerline of the front axle.

19. Driveline is open to any front axle, any rear axle, any transmission, & any transfer case. No planetaries allowed. 20. Axle shields are required. Shield to be.060 thickness steel or aluminum. Shield not to be mounted to axle ends or hub bolts. A single hole may be cut in one to allow locking of hubs. 21. All air or hydraulic suspension systems must have all lines & control switches disconnected during competition. 22. Hitch must be stationary in all directions. Maximum hitch height of 24. Minimum of 27% of the wheelbase from centerline of rear axle to hook point. No trick hitches allowed. Maximum drawbar angle of 33 degrees parallel to the ground. 23. DOT approved tires only, no bar or terra tires. No alterations to tires permitted. No duals allowed. Maximum tire size of 36x14.50 or metric equivalent. 24. All trucks must retain OEM wheelbase, maximum of 158. Maximum track width of 96. Wheels must be centered in wheel wells. Rear tires must overlap track of the front tires a minimum of 2. 25. All other rules not stated will fall under the Modified 4x4 truck category. PRO STREET DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS 1. Front weights may not extend more than 60 from centerline of the front axle. No loose weights allowed anywhere in the vehicle. Front weight boxes will be rigid & have a minimum of 8 ground clearance. 2. Batteries must be securely mounted, no batteries allowed in the cab of the vehicle. 3. The body must be the OEM truck body including the full bed floor. The complete OEM firewall & floor pan is mandatory. The body must retain full sheet metal. Metal aftermarket hoods are permitted. Fiberglass hoods must be shielded on the underside with sheet metal or aluminum skin a minimum of.060 thick. The hood must be closed and securely latched while the truck is hooked to the sled. The complete OEM firewall and complete OEM floor pan is mandatory. A factory installed pickup bed or commercial aftermarket bed must be installed, no custom or home-made beds allowed. 4. Front wheel hydraulic brakes are mandatory. 5. The OEM chassis is mandatory. The engine must be in the OEM location for the body used. The vehicle must retain the full OEM chassis. Wheel tubs, back half conversions, tube chassis, etc. are prohibited. 6. Radiators must be in stock location and coolant MUST circulate through the block and the head. 7. Use of any compressed gases is prohibited. (Nitrous or propane or any other) 8. An OEM transmission and transfer case are mandatory. They must have been an option on a one ton or smaller pickup. 9. All trucks must have at least 6 wide u joint shields around the rear u joint constructed of at least 5/16 steel or 3/8 that will safely contain the u joint and the end of the rear driveshaft. All shield must be securely mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft u joint that is visible from the side of the truck must be shielded to contain the u joint and the end of the shaft. 10. The engine is limited to a stock appearing, OEM compression engine, available from the factory in a one ton or smaller truck. Cubic Inch limit of 460 cid. Water

pumps may be electric or factory. Electric cooling fans are permitted. No deck plates allowed. 11. All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upward. The exhaust must exit rearward of the driver s compartment. Stacks exiting through the hood or fender wells are prohibited. Two (2) 3/8 diameter bolts must be installed through exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within 1 of each other, within 12 of the turbo. 12. A fire extinguisher system is permitted. 2.5 lb. fire extinguisher must be securely mounted. 13. Diesel fuel only. Racing style fuel cells are permitted, must not be located in the cab of the vehicle. 14. Maximum of one P-7100 injection pump limited to one plunger per cylinder. The use of multiple high pressure common rail fuel pumps is legal. Powerstroke engines may utilize a second HPOP. No sigma, or 12 cylinder pumps allowed. Hand throttles are permitted. 15. All engines must be equipped with a harmonic balancer or dampener meeting SFI Spec 18.1. 16. Hook point to be no closer than 44 of centerline of rear axle, hitch height maximum of 24, with a minimum of 3.75X3.0 opening. Hook point must be easily accessed. No trick type hitches permitted. Hitch must be stationary in all directions. Hitch must be frame mounted. Hitch must be centerline of rear axle or behind. Hitch must not exceed a maximum of 25 angle from pivot point to hook point. No hitch supports or adjusters fastened to the rear axle housing shall be above the centerline of the rear axle. Pivot pin of drawbar can be no farther forward than the centerline of the rear axle. 17. Air to air intercoolers only, no types of water to air coolers. No CO2 or any other means of cooling the air in the piping or manifold. No ice filled or ice cooled devices onboard the vehicle of any kind. 18. No individual runner intake manifolds allowed. (Example ZZ custom) Side draft & aftermarket intake manifolds are permitted. 19. All trucks must have an air guillotine of the spring loaded type, no butterfly type to kill the air intake to the engine which is located on the back of the truck, located near the hooking point. 20. Non OEM rear-end housings are prohibited. The rear end housings must have been for a one-ton or smaller pickup. Axle shields are required. Shield to be.060 thickness steel or aluminum. Shield not be mount to axle ends or hub bolts. A hole may be cut in one to allow locking in of hubs. 21. The vehicle must retain the full, original OEM steering gear box. Additional stabilizers are permitted. Non OEM power assist methods are permitted. 22. Suspension - Front: The factory suspension configuration must be retained. The upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in factory location. Adjustable caster/camber pillow ball mounts are permitted. The lower control arm may be strengthened provided factory mounting points are maintained. The lower mounting point for the strut assembly may be modified for improved caster and camber. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, and limit straps are permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted. Air shocks are prohibited.

23. Suspension - Rear: An OEM style rear end is mandatory. Traction bars and devices are permitted, and welds are permitted for attachment to the frame or axle housing. The rear suspension may be solid. Air bag spring assist and air shocks is prohibited. 24. DOT approved tires only, no bar or terra tires. No alterations to tires permitted. 35 maximum. 25. Non - OEM transfer cases are prohibited. It must have been an option on a one ton or smaller pickup truck. 26. Transmission - Automatic: Non - OEM transmissions are prohibited. Aftermarket torque converters, valve bodies and internal components are permitted. Transmission brakes are prohibited. Any non - OEM floor mounted automatic shifter must be equipped with a spring-loaded positive reverse lockout device to prevent the shifter from accidentally being put into reverse. A functional neutral safety switch is mandatory. Vehicle must not start in gear. All transmission lines must be metallic or high pressure type hose. All vehicles must be equipped with a transmission shield meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and must be labeled accordingly. A blanket type shield is permitted, it must be appropriately labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and it must extend from the rear of the engine block and extend rearward to the transmission with a minimum of six (6 ) inch overlap where it is fastened. All non-blanket shields must incorporate two,(or one per manufactures instruction) 3/4" by 1/8 straps that bolt to the shield on each side and pass under the transmission pan unless the transmission pan is labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1. All vehicles must be equipped with a flex plate meeting SFI Spec 29.1 and be covered by a flex plate shield meeting SFI Spec 30.1. 27. Transmission - Manual: Non - OEM transmissions are prohibited. A clutch meeting minimum SFI Spec1.1 or 2.1 is mandatory. All manual transmissions must be clutch assisted. Sequential shifters are prohibited. All vehicles must have a flywheel shield labeled as meeting minimum SFI Spec 6.3 or greater. Applications for which an SFI Spec flywheel shield is not available may use a properly attached SFI 4.1 or 4.2 blankets that completely cover the bell housing. It must be attached to the rear of the engine block and extend rearward to the transmission with a minimum of six (6 ) inch overlap where it is fastened. All transmissions or clutch pedals will have a safety interlock switch so that vehicle will not start in gear. 28. Turbocharger: T-4 mounting flange is the largest allowed. May be 2.5 with a MWE groove allowed, or a 2.6 smooth bore (no MWE allowed). A. Turbos must be a true 2.5 charger, no clipped wheels or step down covers. A single.200 inch MWE groove maximum allowed, it must be in the neck of inducer bore behind face of the wheel in 2.5 area, no forward facing MWE grove. Inducer bore must be non-removable. All air must go through the 2.5 inducer bore and the MWE groove. The wheel must protrude into the 2.5 bore 1/8. Turbo will be checked with a 2.550 plug or internal calipers. Throat area of compressor cover may not exceed 5.5 diameter. B. Turbo is limited to a 2.6 inducer bore, must be smooth bore, no MAP Width Enhancement (MWE) groove allowed. Compressor wheel must protrude into 2.6 bore for 1/8. Bore will be checked with a 2.605 plug, must not be able to enter inducer bore & contact compressor wheel.

The 6.4 liter Powerstroke engines may utilize the factory twin-turbo configuration with no alterations/modifications to bore/housing or wheel. 6.4 Powerstrokes will be permitted to run modified turbos, as long as the atmosphere turbo does not exceed the OEM straight bore dimension. (2.59 ) No TAPERED COVERS will be permitted. The driver will be responsible for making turbo accessible for tech personnel to measure and inspect. 29. Water injection is prohibited. All system components must be removed from truck. 30. The vehicle must retain the original factory wheel base and track width. Cab and chassis trucks may not exceed 172 center to center of axles.
