Continuing the conversation Some themes and comments we heard from Calgarians in 2011: Connectivity to other areas of the city is very important Need for access to downtown How easily the stations serve the public - and encourage them to use the transit system is critical Location, location, location Route impact on existing housing Station design that addresses security/safety? Access to future Calgary/Edmonton high speed train line LRT should have little or no negative traffic impacts Decreasing the traffic on our main routes Reduced productivity due to increased traffic congestion Opportunities for cycling/walking connections to the line Protect natural areas and be mindful of the environment Reducing automobile use and parking structures 5
Why LRT for North Central Calgary The City of Calgary is improving transportation choices to connect Calgarians and their communities. Edmonton Trail and Centre Street each day.
