Hazen also covers responses to Lake Sakakawea, a huge lake created by the Missouri River. HEAVY RESCUE Model DF0973 Left: The drop/pinch frame permits the bottom slide trays to be 36 deep for storage of large amounts of cribbing. A 10,000 lb. rated receiver is shown just forward of the rear wheels for attachment of a 9000 lb. portable winch. Receivers are mounted on both sides and under the front and rear bumper. Stokes basket, multiple long backboards, and folding ladder are stored in the upper transverse tunnel compartment over the wheels for retrieval from either side of the body. Drop-down step platforms are provided in each of the tall compartments. Above Right: Another benefit of the drop/pinch frame is the ability to install severe-duty 36 deep slide out racks for mounting SCBA s, corrairshores, and long tools. A 25,000 watt PTO generator is mounted inside the compartment to protect it from osive road ice treatment.. Above Left: The rear extrication tool compartment includes two pre-connected hydraulic hose reels, Simo electric pump and mounting brackets for the TNT spreader, cutter and rams. The MagnaFire tripod flood lights can be detached and used remotely or in the mounted position on the body.
