THE ELMEC COMPANY Located in the Grand-Mère sector of Shawinigan, Québec (Canada), Elmec was created following the acquisition of a Mégatech Électro Inc. division in 1998. Elmec is renowned for the development and implementation of personalized products, including its well-known electrical systems for customized machineries. In 2012 Elmec decided to diversify its activities by integrating the manufacture of charging stations for electric vehicles and the control of machinery using web and mobile applications. Company mission Great ideas Innovative products Totally satisfied customers Profitable and efficient company Dedicated customer-oriented employees The company s goals Become a leader in the development of residential, commercial and industrial charging stations Spearhead equipment control technologies into the 21st century The company s management team Jean-Marc Pittet, President and CEO Samuel Pittet, Head of Research and Development and Project Manager Érick Talbot, Sales and Market Development Manager Hérold Congo Noel, Financial Controller Éric Martel, Technical and Project Manager

THE EVDUTY BRAND EVduty is the commercial identity of the electric vehicle charging products manufactured by Elmec. The first product developed was a level 2 (240V) charging station. Sales of first generation of EVduty charging stations began in early 2014. As soon as it is introduced, the EVduty charging station became the most popular station in Quebec. Thanks to the product s quality designed specifically for Nordic conditions, the reassuring after-sales service and the expansion of the plug-in vehicles market, sales level is constantly growing. Testimonials of exceptional service in particular strengthen the trust EV drivers put in the brand. EVduty New Generation The second generation EVduty charging station was launched in early 2017. While the revision includes an improved technological design (updated) and a more discreet look, the new EVduty station still stands out for its portability. Surprisingly compact and light, the EVduty charging station is also robust since the new casing is made from the same polycarbonate resin used for hockey helmets! Two pluggable variants, NEMA 6-50 and NEMA 14-50, as well as a hardwired version (without plug) are available. In addition to the standard base station, two smart options are also available (for residential or commercial use). EVduty3 Fast Charging Station In 2015, Elmec designed a direct current fast charger (DCFC). Elmec engineers approach reduces manufacturing costs and also minimizes installation and maintenance costs. In addition, businesses wishing to offer fast charging to their customers can choose between a purchase or a hosting partnership.

THE EVDUTY BRAND EVduty Application The EVduty app available free on Google Play and AppStore allows you to use public charging stations of the EVduty network and to configure the smart features of EVduty Smart-Home and Smart-Pro charging stations

EVDUTY3 FAST CHARGING STATION (EVCFC50) The EVduty3 EVFC50 is a direct current fast charging station (DCFC) with a 50 kw power output compatible with CHAdeMO and SAE Combo charging ports. The EVduty3 concept, which places the charging station itself inside the building, makes it possible to propose a fast charging unit at a significantly lower cost (up to 50%) than that of the competitor products. Description Electrical vehicle fast charging station (DCFC) 50 kw Output Power Designed and manufactured by Elmec in Shawinigan, Québec, Canada Output connector (vehicle side) Combo 1 and CHAdeMo Input Voltage Range: 360-508VAC 3-phases 50/60Hz Max. EVDUTY3 FAST CHARGING STATION (EVCFC50) Installation Options EVduty3 Standard cabinet The base product is a cabinet to install on an indoor wall. The cable-connectors are then installed on the outdoor wall vis-à-vis the indoor cabinet, thus minimizing installation costs. EVduty3 Optional satellite In contexts where charging near the building is not possible or desired, a charging satellite can be added. In these cases, the charging station itself is still installed inside the building but the cable-connectors are installed on the satellite powered by the station. Installation costs which remain below the cost of installing other DCFCs on the market vary depending on the distance from the charging station, site materials and other factors. Standards Directive EMC 2004/108/EC LVD 2006/95/EC Safety IEC 61851-1; IEC 61851-23 UL2202; UL2231-1; UL2231-2 CSA C22.2 NO.107.1-01; CSA C22.2 NO.281.1&2-12 EMC : IEC EN61000-3-12 Communication SAE J1772 (COMBO CCS) CHAdeMO OCPP 1,6 Warranty The EVDuty3 EVCFC50 DCFC warranty takes effect for a 12 month period following the start-up date by Elmec Inc. and covers all defects and malfunctions of the charging station and its components including the 50kW fast charger, the Satellite 3 casing, the Chademo cable-connector and the Combo cable-connector. EVduty application EVduty3 DCFCs are accessible via the EVduty app which EV drivers can download for free on GooglePlay or AppStore. Payment of charging sessions is managed on the app as well. Revenue on charging sessions is shared between the station operator and Elmec according to the chosen type of transaction (purchase, lease-purchase or hosting).

NOTIONS ON PUBLIC CHARGING Important concepts about EV drivers use of public charging stations. Charging at Work More and more employers are offering employees access to charging during working hours. Subsidies are available for these employers. Access to these stations is restricted to authorized users. Residential Charging in Condo/Multi-housing Charging stations can be installed in indoor or outdoor parking lots of residential complexes (condos or multi-housing). Access to these stations is restricted to authorized users. Opportunity Charging EV drivers will favor businesses offering 240V public charging since it enables them to charge their vehicle during their activities (grocery store, shopping center, restaurant, etc.) Destination Charging When travelling, EV drivers will use destination charging for the return journey or the continuation of a trip. They will use public 240V charging during activities of longer duration (movie-going, hotel stay, visit of a tourist attraction, etc.) En Route Charging On the road, EV drivers rely on DCFCs for short stops (15 minutes to 1 hour on average) to charge for the rest of the trip. These customers often take the opportunity to have a meal or a snack in a business near the charging station. They will usually plan stops before departing depending on the available charging stations on their route.

WHY CHOOSE ELMEC Value The EVduty charging station, made in Canada, offers the best value on the market. Solid and Compact The EVduty charging station is very robust while also being compact and lightweight. Its case is made of the same material as hockey helmet visors: polycarbonate resin. Certified and Portable The EVduty charging station is certified for outdoor or indoor installation. Even portable versions connected via NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 port are standardised for outdoor installation. Proven Reliability The quality and reliability of the product are manifest since nearly 10,000 EV drivers in Canada rely on an EVduty charging station for daily charging at home or at work. Exceptional Customer Service In case of (rare) problems, manufacturer Elmec ensures a fast customer service, often cited by the served clientele as being exceptional! The Best Guarantee of the Industry The Elmec Inc. warranty covers all faults or malfunctions of a new EVduty EVC30 charging station. The limited warranty period is 5 years for the station and 3 years for the output cable and its SAE J1772 connector, standardised to withstand 10,000 recharge cycles. No Annual Fees Connectivity of EVduty smart charging stations is permanent. No annual fee will limit access to features via the EVduty app. Less Expensive Installation Installing an EVduty EVC30 charging station is simple and fast: install the outlet or junction box, attach the wall mount, insert the station on the wall mount and plug into the outlet or wire to the junction box. No manipulation needed within the casing, save for some exceptions. Affordable and Competitive Commercial Products Commercial products of the EVduty brand are the most affordable on the market while also being robust and efficient. Their design minimizes installation and maintenance costs. The EVduty application allows efficient management of access to charging according to the operator s parameters, without using access cards.
