Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately.. REPLACEMENT PARTS AND ACCESSORIES. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. 5. DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY WITH THIS PRODUCT. Avoid pinching fingers when operating. 6. DO NOT SHARE THE COMBINATION WITH THOSE YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THE PORTABLE KEY SAFE. Avoid writing the combination in a place that can be seen by others. Harbor Freight Tools, Inc. is not responsible for the careless use of combinations for the Portable Key Safe. 7. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE KEY SAFE be mounted in a hidden location. Make sure the mounting of the Key Safe is secure enough so that it can not be easily removed. SKU 905 PAGE 2
INSTRUCTIONS for SETTING THE COMBINATION. Use the combination on the button pad. Remove Safe () from the Key Safe by pushing the Latch (#) down. Flip Safe over. Use a flat head screwdriver and remove the (#0). See Figure and Figure 2. 0 Pad # Latch Reset Figure Safe s Four Places 6 2 3 7 8 9 0 5 Figure 2 Safe (Backside) Turn until it is UP 2. Choose a set combination of numbers (0 maximum). (Using your birth date or drivers license number for example. Caution: Do not use the address of the location of the Portable Key Safe). 3. Choose your combination number and then one at a time, rotate the s (#5) on the back of the Safe () until the arrows points DOWN. This locks the button. Proceed with each until the combination selected is complete. Only the buttons selected may be used to open the lock.. The new combination is now locked into place. The old combination will not work. Replace the backside of the Safe () making sure that all the s (#5) fit into the slots in the Safe. Replace the four s () that hold the Safe (Backside) to the Safe. 5. If you want to change the combination simply repeat the previous steps. Remember when the arrow points UP, that number is activated. When the arrow on the points DOWN, the is not activated. NOTE: Always remember to clear the lock by pressing the Reset () before inputting the combination. If you press the wrong, you must reset the lock and reenter the correct combination each time. As a precaution you will need to reset the lock before closing the (0) over the door knob. This will ensures that you will not accidently lock yourself out. See Figure. SKU 905 PAGE 3 REV 0/03
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Press Reset (). Punch the combination of s (#5) on the keypad. Press the Latch (#) and lift off Safe (). Remove the key hidden in the recess of the Housing (#9). (Key not included). See Figure 3. 2. When finished with the key, replace in the recessed area. Punch the combination of s (#5) on the keypad. Snap the Safe () back on the Portable Key Safe using the Latch (#). Check to be sure the (0) is secure around the door knob and that the Safe () is secure. To move the Key Safe from one location to another: a. Follow operating instruction (above) to remove the Safe (). b. Lift up the tab on the (0) and slide it out of the Housing (#9). See Inset, Figure. c. To replace and lock the, simply slide it back into the Housing and snap into place. d. Replace the Safe as directed in operating instruction 2, above. NOTE: Check and double check before leaving the area. MAINTENANCE. For better and safer performance, keep all parts of this product clean and dry. 2.
