Page 2 von 9 1 Version KBKHK 1.90 In this version we added the feature to design the suspension crane without hoist. You can choose between 2 possibilities: a) Planning/specification of the installation for Demag Chain hoist DC, without the hoist being part of the scope of supply b) Planning/specification of the installation for any other hoist Suspension crane without hoist, specified for DC hoist, possibility a) The exact selection of the hoist that will be integrated into the installation later on is required because the technical data of the hoist are being considered for the specification of the crane (e.g. dead load, lifting speed, current draw, ).
Page 3 von 9 Suspension crane without hoist, chosen possibility b) When you choose this option the next step will be that the following input mask comes up: Here you have to enter all data of the hoist which is relevant for the specification of the crane installation. All boxes are initialised with default values of the standard DC-Pro chain hoist available for this safe working load. All values can be modified, if necessary. The hoist data which are used for the specification of the crane are also listed in the technical description.

Please note that power supply system has to be selected on the runway page. By selecting none the power supply system on the crane(s) will also be set to none automatically. A differentiation between the power supply system for the runway / crane(s) is not possible.

Suspension cranes with limit switches: Selection of limit switches for cross- / long travel Please select Limit switches on the crane page located below each electric travel motion: Possible track profile types (Alu120, Alu180, KBKII-L, KBKII, KBKII-H) Selection also possible without radio control In case of more than one crane on the runway only the first and the last crane are provided with limit switches 2. Suspension cranes with radio control: On suspension cranes meeting the following conditions radio control can be selected as an option: Installations with one crane (electric cross travel / electric long travel) Installations with more than one crane (electric cross travel / manual operated long travel) Possible track profile types (Alu120, Alu180, KBKII-L, KBKII, KBKII-H) Please select Radio control in the box Crane controlled by on the crane page:
Page 7 von 9 3. Definition of the position of the power supply power feed point In the crane runway optimisation you can modify the position of the power feed point. Open dialog box by: - Double click on the power feed symbol or - Right click on the runway, Edit, Edit power feed The option Centre powerfeed section is only available when power supply Busbar line is selected. 4. Suspension on sloping profile of superstructure In the dialog Modify suspension type inside the crane runway optimisation the variant suspension on sloping profile Sloping I-Profile is selectable. 5. Different suspensions in one installation Until now the suspensions of the crane runways could be different, but inside one runway only the same type of suspension was possible. From now on each suspension can be defined separately. To use this possibility, remove the check mark at Equal suspensions for the track in the dialog Modify suspension type. After that you can define each suspension separately by using the same dialog. The types selected are adopted to the drawing and to bill of matrial.
Page 8 von 9 5 Version KBKHK 1.40 Suspension cranes with distancing possible: In the basic data of the expert project engineering mode you can pretend the spacing between supports inside the runway menu or the min. distance between hooks (only when more than one crane is planned and when for spacing between supports no preferences is selected) as an option.
