FUEL MANAGEMENT Fuel Resilience Survey Utilising state of the art mobile laboratories, the WP engineers conduct comprehensive Fuel Resilience surveys to understand existing fuel management procedures and identify areas of improvement. With a 50 year heritage in fuel supply, the expert team at WP Group can provide clients with unparalleled levels of knowledge about their specific storage infrastructure. Using a bespoke range of advanced products and management services, WP Fuel Solutions has been designed to prevent fuel contamination, increase efficiency, reduce costs and safeguard supply. Fuel Contamination Contamination is a serious and widespread issue amongst businesses reliant on fuel, yet tanks are often left un-checked and un-treated, impacting efficiency, cost and reliability. WHAT CAUSES FUEL CONTAMINATION? Gas oil (red diesel) is naturally hydroscopic and absorbs moisture from the atmosphere, leading to water contamination. Microbes live between the fuel and water interphase, secreting harmful acids that corrode tanks and degrade fuel quality. In 2011 the EU introduced directive 2009/30/EC to limit sulphur in gas oil (Red Diesel) for use in non-rotating, mobile machinery. Whilst good for the environment, the lack of sulphur reduces the fuel s stability, making it more susceptible to biological degradation. Gas oil accounts for only 10% of diesel consumed in the UK so dyed road diesel containing up to 7% bio-diesel is often used (EN590). This accelerates the levels of fuel contamination further still. WP Group s primary supplier, ESSO, supplies Gas Oil containing less than 0.1% bio (effectively FAME free) throughout its network. Fuel resilience surveys will review; Fuel sample analysis to establish in-tank bio contamination level HSE and storage assessment to ensure legislative compliance Fuel efficiency testing, sample versus Gas Oil BS specifications Total fuel management procedure and contingency planning review WP Advanced Fuel For long storage life WP s Advanced Long-Life Fuel contains natural enzymes extracted from marine algae. By converting poor and non-combustible fuel molecules back into an efficient fuel, the enzymes are scientifically proven to prevent and reclaim contaminated fuel. Used as part of a managed service including regular on-site laboratory analysis, initial tank cleaning and state-ofthe-art inventory automation, WP s Advanced Long-Life Fuel provides the highest level of fuel protection available in the UK market. Key benefits of Advanced Fuel: Preserves the life of the fuel Prevents & reclaims contaminated fuel Prevents biofuel FAME issues Improves combustion quality Prevents tank rusting On-site fuel testing Using an accredited on-site laboratory, the WP engineers can conduct comprehensive fuel analysis to identify contamination, evaluate storage and examine ignition quality. Key to identifying and preventing fuel contamination, regular fuel testing will ensure contaminates are treated before expensive remedial work is required. Tank cleaning and fuel recycling WP employ state of the art filtration equipment coupled with the latest in scientific research to recover heavily contaminated fuel. Multiple samples are taken post-cleaning to ensure fuel and tanks are clean. These samples are inspected by expert technicians and a full specification report is presented for client records. Emergency deliveries and 24/7 support With a fleet of over 50 tankers and a comprehensive network of approved delivery partners, WP can provide sameday emergency level response throughout the UK. Combined with dedicated account management and around the clock emergency support, WP can offer full peace of mind for businesses dependent on uninterrupted fuel supply.
LUBRICATION MANAGEMENT Reliability Centred Lubrication (RCL) is an an asset-life focussed approach to lubrication management based on specific operational conditions, best practices, machine applications and maintenance processes. Successful implementation of RCL will lead to an increase in asset life, cost effectiveness and machine uptime, and a proactive approach to long-term asset care. A comprehensive survey will review current practices and procedures, establish asset criticality, evaluate organisational risk and identify cost saving opportunities. Using this baseline, the WP engineers will recommend remedial actions, prioritising critical assets and formulating a long-term maintenance programme. Survey and analysis include; Manufacturing, Plant & Equipment Mobil SHC brings longer oil life (extended drain intervals), longer equipment life (extended service intervals) as well as numerous other advantages including high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to oxidation, low temperature flow properties and enhanced protection against wear. Commercial Vehicles Mobil Delvac lubricants meet and exceed the demanding needs of commercial fleets, promoting fuel efficiency, superior performance and engine protection in the most extreme driving and operating conditions. Working alongside the Millbrook Training Ground, independent fuel economy trials have shown an average saving of 4.7% when switching to Mobil Delvac 1 (specific conditions apply). Programme management Downtime analysis & consequential cost Hazard/failure probability Oil analysis program practices Contamination control practices Lubricant standard operating procedures Safety health and environment practices Lubricant delivery, storage & handling procedures Lubricant technical selection practices Lubricant application practices Industrial Applications With carefully selected mineral and synthetic base fluids, patented thickener technologies and synergistic additive systems, Mobil-branded hightechnology greases help protect equipment, provide long relubrication intervals and reduce energy costs. As a strategic Mobil business partner, WP work alongside the world leaders in synthetic lubricants. Specialising in the very latest synthetic technology, ExxonMobil is a world leader in energy efficient lubrication, developing a range of bespoke products scientifically proven to deliver energy savings, reduce fuel consumption and decrease waste. TANK MONITORING & INVENTORY AUTOMATION TANK MONITORING AND INVENTORY AUTOMATION Using state of the art monitoring equipment, WP can provide comprehensive analysis in each of the following areas; Consumption: Taking full responsibility for ensuring the correct level of fuel is held on customers sites Carbon emissions: Using consumption analysis to calculate emission levels Legislative compliance: Assisting clients with on-going reporting obligations including fuel consumption analysis and emissions surveys Vehicle telematics: Evaluating key performance indicators such as harsh braking, harsh acceleration and engine idling Opex Report: Recording operational costs associated with all fuel and lubrication assets from vehicle fleets to engines and plant equipment
