Sportage - as dynamic as the name suggests HAC: Hill Start Assist Control prevents you from rolling backwards when starting on a steep hill Four-wheel drive models: If you encounter low-traction surfaces such as snow or sand, a simple push of a button engages all-wheel drive lock to provide a 50-50 torque split between the front and rear wheels DRIVING DYNAMICS AND SUV CAPABILITIES Beyond the dynamic looks, the great ride characteristics prove that this SUV is an agile mover. Both steering response and handling are sharp, and even cross-country the Sportage feels much smaller than it actually is. All the while the MacPherson front struts and rear multi-link suspension ensure a smooth ride. 4-wheel independent suspension also adds to the excellent ride comfort. DBC: Downhill Brake Control helps you safely maintain a steady 3 km/h crawl on a steep slope If you leave the horizontal terrain, clever features like Hill Start Assistance and Downhill Brake Control help tackle challenging conditions. Choose all-wheel drive, and the Sportage will automatically switch between 4wd and 2wd when it s required. It also has great towing capabilities and features Trailer Stability Control as standard. Traction: Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) keep you on course in extreme driving conditions Flex Steer: The system allows you to choose between different levels of steering assistance: sport mode for a more engaging drive on the motorway, normal mode for regular steering conditions, or comfort mode for lighter steering in urban traffic (EX and GSE models only). Pulling power: The Sportage can tow up to 750 kg unbraked and between 1,200 and 2,000 kg braked, depending on the chosen model 8 9
Wherever you re headed, you re in safe hands Park Assist Sensors: Standard on EX and GSE, the Sportage will sound a warning when you get too close to an obstacle, thanks to sensors at the rear. SAFETY TECHNOLOGY The robust Kia Sportage comes with safety you can count on. It secured the maximum 5 stars in the European NCAP crash testing and received particular praise for its side impact protection. Six airbags come as standard - dual front airbags, front side airbags and full-length curtain airbags with roll-over sensors. The front seats are fitted with active headrests to help prevent whiplash and head injuries during a rear impact. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) keeps the wheels firmly fixed to the ground, while the Brake Assist System (BAS) assists you during the braking process. BAS: Brake Assist System (BAS) adds the correct brake force much more accurately and timely than a human ever could TPMS: The standard Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you if the tyre pressureis too low Active headrests: In a rear collision the front headrests move forwards and upwards to prevent whiplash injuries 10 11

The rear seats split 60:40 to provide 1,353 litres of load capacity with the rear seats folded down. With all seats in place, the cargo area measures 800 x 1,178 x 785 mm (length x width x height) and provides an impressive 564 litres of loading capacity.
