PERRY COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALE NOTICE TO BIDDERS Perry County Highway Department has identified surplus equipment in its fleet and would like to publicly invite bidders to an auction to purchase that equipment. All equipment is available for viewing at the Perry County Highway Department located at 3698 State Route 13/127, Pinckneyville, IL 62274, Monday through Friday 8 am CST to 3 pm CST excluding holidays. Calling ahead to check for availability is suggested. Bidders may obtain a bid sheet from the Perry County Highway Department and submit a sealed bid prior to the day of the auction. A sealed bid is not required to be submitted to attend the auction. Bidders may obtain the bid sheet at the office or by calling (618) 357-6556. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Sheet provided and shall include bid amount of each machine being bid on. Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Perry County Highway Department located at 3698 State Route 13/127, Pinckneyville, IL 62274 before 8:30 am CST on September 23, 2014. All bids shall be in a sealed envelope with the words Sealed Bid for Surplus Equipment written on the front of the envelope. Starting at 8:30 am CST on September 23, 2014, sealed bids will be opened. The sealed bid opening shall be held at the Perry County Highway Department located at 3698 State Route 13/127, Pinckneyville, IL 62274. A sealed bid is not required to be submitted to attend the auction and bidders may attend the auction without attending the sealed bid opening. The auction will held at 3698 State Route 13/127, Pinckneyville, IL 62274 starting at 9:00 am CST on September 23, 2014 or directly after the sealed bids are opened whichever comes first. The beginning bid for the auction will be the highest bid received from the sealed bid process. The terms of the sale are cash or check at the time of purchase. All equipment is sold as is. The Perry County Engineer reserves the right to reject any or all bids at any time for any reason. The Perry County Engineers reserves the right to waive technicalities at any time for any reason.
