T raise such sums f mney as may be necessary t defray Twn charges fr the ensuing year and make apprpriatins f the same. Aritcle 2. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $4,000.00 t purchase a part f the s-called Cnverse lt (cntaining apprximately five acres) which adjins the sutherly bundry f Hillside Cemetery, fr the purpse f enlarging the present cemetery area, the amunt f $1,000.00 t be raised and apprpriated this year and that the Selectmen be authrized t issue in the name f the Twn term ntes in the amunt f $1,000.00 each fr the balance, ntes t bear interest at 5%, ne f each ntes t be redeemed in the years 1963, 1964 and 1965, r act in any way relating theret. Article 7. T see if the Twn (if the freging article is acepted) will vte t adpt certain regulatins and restrictins pertaining t a new cemetery area. Article 8. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $1,155.00 t purchase a Grace Rad Sweeper, r act in any way relating theret. Article 9. T see if the Twn will vte t authrize the Selectmen t sell by clsed bid the buildings n the s-called Jhnsn Place, same t be remved frm the premises, r take any actin relating theret. Article 10. T see what actin the Twn wishes t take regarding an increase in the salaries f the Tax Cllectr, Twn Clerk and Treasurer. Article 11. T see if the Twn will vte t abandn a sectin f the s-called Ring Rad that has been discntinued, specifically a distance f apprximately 200 feet suth f the Beaver Dam Rad s called, r take any actin relating theret. Article 12. T see if the Twn will vte t adpt the fllwing specificatins as they pertain t private rads that the Twn may be petitined t accept as public ways in the future, r take any actin relating theret: 1. There must be permanent hmes already built 6n the rad t be accepted.

2. The right f way must be at least 40 feet wide. 3. The persn r persns wishing t have the Twn accept the rad shall pay fr all culverts and suitable drainage, and shall build the rad with at least 12 inches f gravel 18 feet wide at n cst t the Twn. 4. All dead-end rads shall be supplied with sufficient right f way t enable plws and ther equipment t turn arund. Article 13. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $400.00 t purchase five radi units in the interest f public welfare and safety, r take any actin relating theret. Article 14. T see if the Twn will vte t authrize the Selectmen t secure the assistance f the State Tax Cmmissin in the reappraising f taxable prperty in the Twn in rder t secure greater equality as between taxpayers, and t insure the assessment f all prperty in the Twn n the same standard f value, and t raise and apprpriate the sum f $4,000.00 t pay fr same r act in any way relating theret. Article 15. T see if the Twn will adpt the Municipal Budget Act r act in any way relating theret. Article 16. T see if the Twn will vte t increase the rate f pay f Cnstables t $1.50 per hur r take any ther actin relating theret. Article 17. T see if the Twn wiu vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $500 fr repair t the Library building r act in any way relating theret. Article 18. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $2,000.00 t prvide fr the retirement and replacement f bslete and wrn ut equipment in the Highway Department r act in any way relating theret. Article 19. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $2,500.00 fr the repair f the Danfrth Rad s called, r take any ther actin relating theret. Article 20. T see if the Twn will vte t authrize the Selectmen t sell by clsed bid the small V-Snw Plugh r act in any way relating theret.

10 Article 21. T see if the Twn will vte t adpt the recmmendatin f the Selectmen as cntained in the fllwing prpsal r act in any way relating theret. An agreement made this (date) by and between the Twn f Rindge, hereinafter knwn as the Twn, and The First Cngregatinal Church f Rindge, hereinafter knwn as the Sciety. It is the intent and purpse f this agreement t establish the rights and use f specific areas in the Meeting Huse building, s called, and t set frth the respnsibilities f bth parties in the maintenance f their individual interests and their cmbined bligatins as a whle cnstituting a permanent recrd as f this date. By mutual understanding it is agreed that the entire secnd flr cntaining the church auditrium, including attic area, hallways and stairs leading t the first flr f the building, shall be cnsidered prperty f the Sciety, reserving t the Twn the right t use the stairway and halls t gain access t the belfry fr the purpse f maintenance and repair f the Twn clck and twer. The hallway and clsets n the grund flr at the frnt r west side f the building, tgether with the vestry area and kitchen as knwn in their present lcatin, shall als be identified as prperty f the Sciety, which Sciety will accept the respnsibility f maintenance and repair f the areas indicated. By mutual cnsent it is agreed that the hallways between the selectmen's rm and the vestry, the entrance-way, the men's and wmen's tilet rms, and furnace rm be knwn as prperty f bth the Twn and the Sciety with each having an equal right f use, including entrance thrugh the dr n the suth side f the building. It is als agreed that the cst f repair and maintenance f the jintly wned areas be equally shared by the Twn and the Sciety. It is further agreed that the areas cmmnly knwn as the Twn Hall, including the stage, the selectmen's rm, bell, clck and twer be cnsidered as Twn prperty with its use stipulated by the Twn at its annual meeting r by the Bard f Selectmen as its agents. The cst f maintenance and repair f its prperty shall be brne by the Twn.

11 By mutual agreement the Twn and the Sciety shall equally share in the cst f repair t the heating plant and t the repair (including rfing and painting) f the utside f the building. The cst f heating, including electricity t fire the heater, tgether with the charge fr electricity t Light the bulletin bard and fld lights, will be jintly shared n an equal basis by the Twn and the Sciety. It is als agreed that the Twn pay t the Sciety the amunt f $25.00 annually as its share f the cst t supply water t the tilets and t accept jint respnsibihty with the Sciety fr the repair and maintenance f the pipe line leading frm the Parsnage t the Meeting Huse; and als an amunt f $15.00 is t be paid by the Twn t the Sciety fr a supply f water t be furnished t the Fire Statin (the cst f maintenance and repair t the pipe leading frm the main line t the Fire Statin shall be the sle respnsibility f the Twn). The abve agreement is prepared by the Bard f Selectmen fr acceptance by the Twn at its annual meeting and the Bard f Trustees f the First Cngregatinal Church f Rindge fr acceptance by the Sciety at a regular meeting. Article 22. T see if the Twn will vte t amend the present Zning Ordinance by extending the Recreatinal Area n the east side f Cntck Lake t include a 300 feet depth n the east side f Lng Pnd Rad s called, extending frm the Jaffrey Twn Line t a pint ppsite the Mary L. Ware Farm crner s called, r take any ther actin relating theret. Article 23. T see if the Twn will vte t rescind the actin taken at the Twn Meeting in March, 1952, cncerning snw remval at the Pst Office and public places r take any ther actin relating theret. Article 24. T see if the Twn will vte t raise and apprpriate the sum f $140.00 t increase the yearly base pay f firemen t $15.00 per year, r take any ther actin relating theret. Article 25. T see if the Twn will vte t raise the wages f firemen t $1.25 per hur fr fighting fires, r take any ther actin relating theret.

: 13 ARTICLE II Districts Fr the purpses f this Ordinance, the Twn f Rindge is divided int tw districts as shwn n the fficial zning map filed with the Twn Clerk and dated MAR..44...;96:![...; (1) Recreatinal District, (2) Residential-Agricultural District. ARTICLE III General Prvisins The fllwing prvisins shall apply t all districts: A. N wner r ccupant f land in any district shau permit fire r ther ruins t be left, but within ne year shall remve r refill the same t clear grund level r shall repair, rebuild, r replace the structure. B. The remval f clay, sd, lam, sand, r gravel is permitted, either fr private use r fr sale, prvided that the premises are left in a safe and sightly cnditin and prtected against ersin. Such restratin shall be dne within six (6) mnths. C. N junk yard r place fr the strage f discarded machinery, vehicles, r ther scrap material shall be maintained in any district except as hereinafter prvided fr. D. All dwellings and sanitary systems shall be cnstructed and maintained in accrdance with standards set and enfrced by the N. H State Department f Health and the N. H. Water Pllusin Cmmissin. E. The fllwing types f signs shall be permited: Twn, State and Federal Highway directinal and regulatry signs, histric signs, thse relating t the sale r lease f the premises, the prfessin r hme ccupatin f the ccupant, prperty restrictin signs, identificatin signs fr residences, the sale f gds r prducts sld n the premises, except that in such cases n sign r grup f signs shall exceed twenty-five square feet in area. ARTICLE IV Recreatinal District The fllwing prvisins shall apply t the Recreatinal District A. Uses Permitted 1. It shall be mainly a district f residential dwellings.

14 B. Frntage and Yard Requirements 1. Frntage Every dwelling shall have a minimum lt frntage f 100 feet. 2. Yard Requirements N building shall be lcated nearer than fifteen (15) feet t an abutter's prperty line and thirty (30) feet frm the edge f a right f way. ARTICLE V Residential Agricultural District The fllwing prvisins shall apply t the Residential- Agricultural District. A. Uses Permitted 1. It shall be mainly a District f farms and residences 2. Hme prduce may be bught and sld and expsed fr sale in this District. 3. Turist hmes may be maintained and perated in this District. 4. A single trailer r a single mbilehme may be lcated anywhere in this district with the exceptin f the land areas n bth sides f Rutes 119 and 202 fr a depth f 300 feet frm the edge f the right f way. Said trailers r mbilehmes must cnfrm t all frntage and yard requirements f the district. B. Frntage and Yard Requirements 1. Frntage Every dwelling shall have a minimum lt frntage f 100 feet. 2. N mtr vehicle and machinery junk yard may cntinue as a nncnfrming use fr mre than ne year after the effective date f this rdinance, except that a mtr vehicle and machinery junk yard may cntinue as a nncnfrming use if within that perid it is maintained in accrdance wth the standards set and enfrced by the N H. Revised Statutes Anntated, 1955, Chapter 267, Sectin 1-4 and als in accrdance with the standard.s required by the Twn Bard f Selectmen. ARTICLE VII Enfrcement A. It shau be the duty f the Bard f Selectmen and the Bard is hereby gven pwer and authrity t enfrce the prvisins f this rdinance. B. The Bard f Selectmen shall issue any and all building permits requested when such is in accrdance with the prvisins f this rdinance. C. After passage f this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful t erect any structure r building, r alter the bulk f any building r relcate any building in any district withut first btaining a building permit frm the Bard f Selectmen. D. Upn any well funded infrmatin that this Ordinance is being vilated, the Bard f Selectmen shall take immediate steps t enfrce the prvisins f this Ordinance by seeking an injunctin in the Superir Curt r by any legal actin. ARTICLE VIII Bard f Adjustment Within thirty days after the adptin f this Ordinance and thereafter as terms expire r vacancies ccur, the Bard f Selectmen shall make appintments t a Bard f Adjustment f five members cnfrming in duties t the prvisins f Chapter 31 f the N.
