The Daily Minibus Safety & comfort driven by design
SCHOOL Safe Transport
The Daily Minibus Range DAILY Irisbus Iveco is proud to announce its new Minibus Range for 2006, which features a new Daily 17 Seat Minibus and new Daily Minibus Shells with three different door configurations. Also there are new options of trim level and floor type plus new chassis cowls featuring different engine, gearbox and wheelbase options. The entire product range reflects significant changes that have been made in the last 18 months to the Iveco Daily, the vehicle upon which all Irisbus Minibus products are based. Key changes have taken place to make the Daily into one of the most impressive light commercials vehicles on sale in the UK today. Not our words but the words of What Van when they awarded the Daily the Van of the Year award. One of the most significant changes is the launch of the new HPI and HPT 3.0 litre 136hp and 166hp diesel engines, which produce more power and more torque than ever before. Couple that with the introduction of the Agile Automated Gearbox. It's one of the best if not the best semi automatic gearboxes we've ever come across say What Van, and you start to see why the industry is getting excited about the new Daily 17 Seat Minibus. Add all-round disc brakes featuring ABS, ABD and EBD safety systems, power steering, extended 24,000 mile (40,000 km) service intervals and a 3-year 100,000 mile warranty, and you can quickly see why the Daily not only won the Van of the Year award from What Van Magazine but why it also won Fleet Van of the Year from Motor Transport Magazine. New Flat Floor 17 Seat Minibus We have been listening to our customers and produced a fully fitted 17 seat Minibus at an affordable price. This now represents real value for money. Based on the Daily 40C12, one of the first things to notice is that it looks more like a coach than a Minibus. All Irisbus Minibus products will now feature full sized tinted Panoramic glass, which immediately puts the vehicle in a different league to its competitors. Key Features Based on the award-winning Iveco Daily. Safe, comfortable, flexible seating for 16 passengers and driver. Seats and floor tested and VCA approved to the highest safety standards. 3-year 100,000 mile Irisbus warranty on complete vehicle, backed by a 106-point UK service network. Choice of M1 tested floor with wheel arches or M2 tested fully flat floor at no extra cost. Long service interval period 24,000 miles, (40,000km). Large option list including Agile Automated Gearbox. It does not matter what application a Minibus is used for, everyone likes to travel in a vehicle that is stylish and comfortable, and we firmly believe we have achieved this. With regard to comfort, the Irisbus Daily has one of the best passenger saloon layouts on the market today, with nearly two metres of head room along with exceptional aisle width and passenger legroom.
OCAL Services & Tours
Not content with having one of the most spacious and comfortable saloons available, we have tackled the other problem that applies to all Minibuses, that is the wheel arch protrusion which greatly compromises the comfort of the unfortunate passenger who has the seat that is sited over it. With some smart engineering, we have removed the wheel arch protrusion, and all our Minibuses can now feature, as standard a complete Flat Floor. All our passengers, sitting anywhere in the saloon, now experience the same comfort as everybody else. The Irisbus 17 seat Minibus is fitted with a large side sliding door which makes access very easy and the option of a manual or electrically operated lower step is available, should this be required. The vehicle is powered by the proven 2.3 litre Iveco diesel engine which produces 116bhp through a five-speed ZF gearbox driving the rear wheels and has the low-priced option of the Agile Automated Gearbox, bringing a whole new meaning to driver comfort. The Agile gearbox can be used in either manual or automatic mode and, when in the automatic mode, greatly reduces the amount of stress put on the driver, which is especially important when carrying passengers in a busy city environment. The Irisbus 17 seat Minibus is as attractive on the outside as it is comfortable on the inside, with a host of features appealing to both the operator and passenger alike. New Minibus Access Shells Irisbus has always produced Minibus Shells, which are normally supplied to the operators preferred Bodybuilder for final fitting out to the customers specific requirements. In the past, we have been asked to supply glazed shells that, when fitted out, give greater flexibility in design to meet the special requirements of the operator, for example a Minibus Shell fitted with windows that do not have the internal saloon fittings. We now make it more flexible for the bodybuilder to offer a greater degree of customisation. Once again, by listening to our customers we have come up with the vehicle that the market has been waiting for and have now introduced this product to our range. We are still producing our Trimmed Shells but with more options than ever before and we now offer two different floors, either a M2 Tracked Standard Floor or a M2 Tracked Flat Floor. We still offer three different types of access doors, a Slam Door, a Side Sliding Door or an electrically operated Plug Door. All Minibus Shells feature our trademark tinted panoramic windows. Other options include either Manual or Electric Steps, Metallic or Solid paint, Agile Automated Gearbox, Air Suspension, Emergency Door, Coach Rear End as well as Roof Mounted Air Conditioning.

It also has the option of the Agile Automated Gearbox. New Chassis Cowls In line with the major improvements that have been made to the Daily Minibus and Minibus Shells, the Daily Chassis Cowls have also benefited from the upgraded Iveco engines. We now offer the Chassis Cowls as either Daily 50C14 which features the new Iveco 3.0 HPI 136hp engine or the larger Daily 65C17 which features the new Iveco 3.0 HPT 166hp engine.
