VROON OFFSHORE SERVICES PSV FLEET OPERATIONS AND EXPERTISE VROON OFFSHORE SERVICES is a leading maritime offshore-services provider, with over fifty years experience in the business. The company delivers safe, reliable, highquality and cost-effective services to all customers. When it comes to offshoresupport work, Vroon provides a new approach, but one based on traditional qualities and a proven track record. With a versatile fleet of more than 100 vessels and 2,400 highly qualified and experienced colleagues, Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) provides a diverse range of services and solutions for key offshore-support needs, including platform supply, emergency response and rescue, anchor handling, walk-to-work and subsea support. Vroon Offshore Services operates internationally, with a strong geographical presence in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, North and East Africa, the Indian Ocean and Asian regions. The company has offices in Aberdeen (UK), Den Helder (NL), Genoa (IT) and Singapore (SG). VOS also operates in Mozambique, Malaysia and Thailand, with business activities coordinated from the Den Helder and Singapore offices. The fleet services the oil and gas market segments and supports installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms and renewable-energy market segments. The high level of expertise demonstrated by all VOS employees is the result of the company s extensive training and personal-development programmes, combined with many years of experience in offshore markets. A behaviouralbased safety programme, Leaders in Safety, forms an integral part of the VOS service deliverables. The VOS platform-supply vessel (PSV) portfolio is based on vessel designs developed by the company s Performance and Engineering Department, reflecting both client specifications, market requirements and substantial in-house offshore experience. Newest additions to the fleet are the six 80-metre sister PSVs: VOS Pride, VOS Prime, VOS Primrose, VOS Prince, VOS Princess and VOS Principle. Available from 2017, a vessel that combines walk-to-work services and supply duties for the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy markets. With the new subsea-support walk-to-work vessel, VOS aims to meet the expected increase in demand for offshore people-transfer solutions. Over recent years, VOS has delivered a number of walk-to-work solutions, gaining substantial experience which has proved invaluable in the development of this revolutionary, new vessel. This walk-to-work vessel offers accommodation and work space for up to 60 client staff (special personnel). The unique vessel concept is based on the principle of 750 m2 clear deck space. This deck space can be fitted with a walk-to-work system, at the same time leaving ample space available for a variety of extra services. In addition, the vessel can optionally be equipped with a motion-controlled crane and work boats supported by heave-compensated davits. This new vessel generation is based on a Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM) PSV design. The vessel is classed DP2, complies to the latest SPS code regulations and is designed to carry a total of 87 persons. Cargo transportation Bulk transfers (wet and dry): generic liquids / muds / special products / chemicals Fire fighting Oil-spill recovery Bunker transfers Safety standby Personnel accommodation / transportation In close cooperation with the design company, KCM, and the Force Technology Design Institute, Vroon s Performance and Engineering Department has optimised the vessel for efficient fuel consumption (both on DP and sailing) and on-board comfort for client personnel. Two 80-metre subsea-support walk-to-work vessels, VOS Start and VOS Stone, are available for walk-to-work operations in the North Sea from 2017 onwards.
