IMserv II - open frame If you want to utilize the full capabilities and flexibility of the IMserv II enclosure system you can fully specify your cabinet starting from the IMserv II Open Frame onwards.this enables you to use non 19 shelves thereby utilizing the full width of the enclosure. This can be very beneficial when housing tower servers which have no requirement of 19 mounts or for accessing full length keyboards which not do fit between 19 mounts. Alternatively you can specify ETSI standard Panel mounts or even a mixture of 19 Panel mounts, ETSI Panel mounts and a full width section in the same enclosure. The possible combinations are nearly unlimited and therefore the possible applications are also nearly unlimited.when specifying your IMserv II please consider the position (height depth etc.) where you require your accessories to be mounted. Lock options Both the metal and glass doors have a swing handle fitted as standard, complete with lock. Please note, high security locks for the swing handle need to be ordered separately. Keyed alike lock self locking All locks supplied with the same key and the door automatically locks when closed. Keyed alike lock manual locking All locks supplied with the same key. IMserv II - side panels Side panels, supplied in pairs, are available in metal with concealed catch locking. Side panels can only be removed once the front and rear doors have been open so the fixing catches can be undone. IMserv II - divider panel For use in bayed suites of IMserv II in applications such as data centres, the divider panel restricts access to adjacent cabinets while maintaining cross patching capability. The divider panels are full height flat steel panels, held in place between adjacent cabinets by the baying kits. Secure apertures, which can only be opened by having access to both sides, are provided at appropriate locations to allow cross patching between cabinets. IMserv II - top covers TOP COVERS Two types of top covers are available, a plain non-vented unit and a fully vented unit. Both tops are supplied with side and rear cable access areas. FULLY VENTED Allows air flow through a matrix of holes on the top surface. This top cover can also be used with a top mounted fan tray. NON-VENTED For applications where limited heat is generated within the cabinet. Can not be used with Top mounted Fan tray. An IMserv II frame of the same width and depth. Earthing kits. Heavy-duty castor For easy movement of a loaded IMserv, Heavy-Duty braked castors are available. Each castor has a load rating of 115Kg. Adjustable foot adaptor In applications where Heavy Duty Castors and Adjustable Feet are to be used, an Adjustable foot adaptor kit is also necessary. The Adjustable foot adaptor kit adds to the length of the Adjustable feet, thereby compensating for the height of the Heavy Duty Castors. Adjustable feet These allow you to align your cabinet on uneven surfaces. Adjustable feet are screwed directly into the end frame, using 12mm threads. An adapter is required when feet are to be fitted as well as heavy-duty castors. Adjustment is between 25mm and 40mm. Note, adjustable feet are always required and are therefore included in both primary rack builds & open frames. Bolting Down Clamps This is a kit of 4 clamps which fit over either the Adjustable feet or the Adjustable foot section of the castor- leveller combination. The clamps are bolted down using 8mm bolts (not supplied). Baying kit The baying kit is designed for joining two enclosures of the same depth together, side by side, independent of whether they are an IMserv or IMnet. The baying kit fits to the front of the vertical therefore racks can be bayed, or unbayed easily even when fully loaded with equipment. Four pairs of brackets are required for baying, two at the front and two at the rear. A 100 wide space can be created between bayed racks. Locked front and rear covers enclose this cabling void. This has two advantages, firstly a large unrestricted area for cables and secondly it leaves the cabinet uncluttered for housing active equipment.the spacing system can be used to link together cabinets of the same height and depth independent of their width or if they are IMserv or IMnet. Raft - floor tile replacement plinth The Raft mounting system (floor tile replacement plinth) replaces the 600 x 600 mm floor tile with a raised plinth that allows any size of IMnet II cabinet to site onto the plinth. The Raft permits the floor tile in front of and behind the cabinet to be removed so access to the false floor void can the easily gained. When using 800 mm wide IMnet II s they must be used in bays (groups)of three. A bays of three cabinets, total width 2,400 mm (3 x 800 = 2,400 mm), fitted onto a row of four Rafts (4 x 600mm = 2,400 mm) Note: If double doors are to be used an additional part needs to be ordered. Cable and power strip management in IMserv 1,000 mm deep The rear section of an IMserv 1,000mm deep enclosure provides an ideal unrestricted open area for running cables and for mounting power strips.the Cable / Power strip mounting system, provides a full length tray for this purpose which is equally suitable for both stand alone or bayed IMserv applications.the kit consists of a full height cable tray, 200mm wide. The top, side brush entry system provides a smooth curved edge for the cable to flow over plus a brush sealing system to minimize the dust entering the cabinet via the same aperture. 125mm channel window moulding The 125mm channel window moulding clips into the apertures provided on both sides of the 19 panel mounts used in 800mm wide IMnet enclosures. It provides a smooth curved surface around the apertures through which cables can be passed. The 125mm window moulding has been designed to be used with the 125mm channel retention bobbins. The 125mm window mouldings can be fitted to both the front and rear of each aperture, if desired. 19 Panel Mounts for IMserv II (server mounts) The IMserv II has been specifically designed to house servers and other active equipment. Servers, up to 680mm in depth, will fit into an 800mm deep IMserv. Larger servers must be fitted into 1,000 mm deep IMserv II. Chassis supports These steel supports may be varied along the depth of the rack and offer an ideal method of supporting heavy equipment. When used in conjunction with 19 equipment they position cardframes accurately in line with U heights. Chassis trays These steel trays come in four depths so that the correct depth for your installation may be selected without interfering with cabling or power distribution at the rear. Earthing Squid - Earth Continuity system The unique, rapid fix, earthing Squid system comprises of four self contained tri-lead connectors (4 off Squid connectors) plus a main M6 earth bolt. At the end of each lead is a M6 captive nut and earthing washer. The tri-lead connectors are connected to the earthing clamp plates situated on the top four corners of the cabinet s frame. The four tri-leads therefore provide 12 leads which connect to the earthing studs on the cladding and leave extra leads for connecting to accessories and/ or electronic equipment. Busbar system - earthing This is a copper common earth/neutral busbar which is normally fitted to the rear vertical members of the rack. It is rated at 140 amps and supported by polyamide insulating blocks which will accept 4mm, 5/32" or 6BA fixing screws. There are three sizes of terminals for conductor sizes 1,5 to 35mm.
