TUMI 30 DAE, TGA-6: INSTALLATION TRANSMITTER TGA-6: 170 mm The transmitter is fastened to the pedestal with two M6 hexagonal screws. In vibrating conditions the hexagonal screws can be replaced by rubber schock absorbers, which are delivered as an additional equippment. The transmitter cable is attached with a spacing small enough by means of clamps or bands. The lid of the case is opened and the wires are connected to the srews of the terminal. 330 mm The lid is closed carefully to ensure the rubberbascet to tighten the case waterproof. 60 mm TGA-6 CENTRAL UNIT TUMI: The central unit is installed on the wall using four screws. 107 mm The supply wire is of 3*0,75 mm2 size. TUMI 30 DAE, TGA-6: SERVICE INSTRUCTION 1 TRANSMITTER TGA-6: The bearing of the transmitter is normally looked over once a year. In a dusty environment inspect more frecuently. The inspection is performed by rotating the grid of the cups and by listening to the sounding of the bearing. A clean bearing rotates smoothly and noiseless, but a dirty bearing stops in a jerking motion and gives a snapping sound. 3 kpl M3 * 8-10 mm SSt M4 * 5 mm SSt SSt 626-2Z-J-P5-LU TGA-6 Anemometer If the bearing is dirty, the prosedure is as follows: 1. The tree lockscrews of the rotating cup unit are opened with an allen key (M3) and the unit is removed. 2. The lockscrew of the bearing is removed and the bearing is taken out. 3. The bearing is a continuous lubrication and fitted with a coverplate. If the bearing is dirty, replace with new one. The bearing can also be opened cleaned and lubricated. The type of the bearing: GMN SSt 626-2Z-J-P5-LU The lubricant: AERO SHELL FLUID 12 / MIL-L-6085A (or equivalent) The working temperature range of the oil is -40...+55 C. The bearing can also equipped with heating, the heating is switching on when the temperature goes below + 4 C. 4. A new or cleaned bearing is installed. 5. The grid of the cup is installed and locking screws are fastened. NOTE: The locking screws of the grid are only turned to the bottom and not tightened to tense (deformation of the bearing) The locking srews should be lock itselfs by using adhessive lock material (silicon, srew lock, or similar) which is unlocked later. The main point is confirm that screws not open in shaking conditions. The locking of the unit is checked by lifting upwards the grid. 6. Rotate the grid. The grid of the cups has stop smoothly. If the grid stops at once and jerking, the locking screws are fight and they must loosened a little.
TUMI 30 DAE, TGA-6: TO REPLACE A BROKEN TRANSMITTER CUP: 1. Remove the grid of the cups as per instructions page 4. 2. The shaft of the broken cup is cut off at the root and with a o 6.0 mm drill in the previous location of the shaft a 6.0 deep hole is drilled perpendicular to the center. 3. To increase adhesion rough on the surface of the hole and the shaft of the new cup. 4. Use ARALDIT RAPID or eqivalent (epoxy) glue to bond the cup, remove extra glue from the joint. 5. Check that the cup is correctly and perpendicular to the rotating axle. Check the rotating radius to be according to the drawing. This measurements affects the balance and speed of the rotation. 6. Let the bonded joint dry up correctly. ( See the instructions of glue). 7. Install the grid of the cups according to instructions page 4.
