Manufact anufacturing uring The production plant to produce M MIM meter has been set up in a build- up area a out of 52,000 square feet located at Temasya Industrial Park in Shah Alam and it has the capacity to produce 40,000 of 1 Phase meter and 28,000 of 3 Phase meter per month during mass production. MIM production is focusing on final manufacturing of the productt. Few suppliers have been selected to participate in MIM sub- vendor program. For both types of meters, the same mould will be used for the casing. There are inclusive of 6- difference moulds, which consist of Base, Top Cover, Terminal Cover, Terminal Holder, Window and Push Button and are injected with Polycarbonate V-0 material. There will be lock-in position for the reply inside the casing to cater with the prepayment meter. Each mould is capable to produce up to 300,000 to 350,000 cycles of meter casing using injection-moulding process. The assembly, calibration, testing and packaging of the product are done in our factory. The production of products will be done complete with calibration and testing in order to comply with all the standards and specifications required by power utility standardized international standard. MIM is collaborating with TNBR QATS Sdn Bhd in developing the test and calibration equipment that is required for mass calibration and testing procedures. In year 2007, MIM s Calibration and Testing Laboratory has been accredited with MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005 which ensures high precision and quality of meters. In 2009, MIM has implemented 5S standards for all of our manufacturing zones. We have also implemented Autonomous Maintenance, Statistical Process Control and Visual Stream Mapping. We are now moving towards certification of ISO 14001 to ensure our product will soon become Green Technology compliant. 8
