Sponsored by Columbia Basin Rodeo Association and N o r t h W e s t A g Race and Demolition Event Rules The night 's events wi ll be: Time trials, trophy dash, heat races, powde r puffs, Australian Pursuit and team demo. 1. POOR SPORTSMANSHIP AND BAD CONDUCT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED at any time during the event. If you or anyone associated with your car is involved in an altercation, the driver and all persons involved will be banned from the Demo Derby for LIFE! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! 2. All drivers must have a legal current driver's license, and MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO DRIVE A CAR IN THE RACE/DEMO DERBY EVENT. A copy of the driver's license is required with this entry. NO EXCEPTIONS! 3. TIME TRIAL/RACE DRIVERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16-17 MUST HAVE A SIGNED PARENTAL RELEASE. NO EXCEPTIONS! 4. No Convertible s, Vans or Pickups. T-tops must have a roll bar and must be covered. 5. CARS ENTERING HEAT RACES ONLY MAY REPAIR THE FRONT END OR REAR END WITH OTHER THAN STOCK PARTS, BUT MUST APPEAR NEAR STOCK. 6. ALL glass, trim, metal, fender extensions, and anything breakable must be removed.all car preparation and anything flamma ble must be done prior to entering the pit area. 7. Wheel wells may be trimmed away; larger bumper extensions may be trimmed. All cars will be free of broken glass and debris before inspection. 8. Batteries must be moved to driver's compartment in a sealed box. Radiators must remain in stock location, in front of engine. 9. All cars must have an H bar behind the driver's seat. NO EXCEPTIONS.Roll bars are optional and driver's door must be reinforced. Doors must be secured by bolting, chaining or welding. 10. The middle of the hood MUST HAVE a 2' x 2' OPENING. 11. Driver must have a helmet with chin strap and protective eyewear, which must be worn durirg all races and demo. Helmet must be strapped at all times. 12. SEAT BELTS MUST BE ANCHORED TO FRAME UNDER DRIVER. 13. Rear seat must be removed; BRAKES must be in good working order. 14. CARS will be pre-registered and numbered with your registered number. 150 slots are available. 15. Cars must be self-starting condition at start of each race. All cars will have 18" high, visible numbers painted on both front doors and top of the hood. Number boards are preferred. 16. FIRE EXTINGUISHER MUST BE IN CAR, AND MUST BE SECURED WITHIN REACH OF DRIVER TIED DOWN WITH CLIPS. NO PETS OR EXTRA RIDERS IN CAR AT ANY TIME. 17. Women can enter either the heat races with the men or enter the Powder Puff Race. Both men and women may enter the Demo Derby event. 18. Only the Driver is allowed in or on the car while is on the track. 19. ONE TOW VEHILCE IS ALLOWED THROUGH THE GATE WITH EACH ENTERED CAR ONLY

20. Cars PRE-REG ISTERING by the Monday before the event will pay a fee of $25 to ENTER YOUR CAR. One additional driver can enter heat race for a fee of $25.Late entries will only be accepted, on the Wednesday the day of the event at the Rodeo Office at the Green Gate of the Rodeo Grounds. An additional fee of $20 will be added per car. THE FEE IS $25 TO ENTER THE POWDER PUFF CONTEST. ENTRY FEE MUST ACCOMPANY THE PERSON AT THE BACK GATE. NO PIT PASSES! Any other persons wanting to help with your car will be required to pay the price of a General Admission Ticket to the Demo Derby. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Green Gate. 21. Australian Pursuit will be 10 cars per heat with a $50 entry fee, only 1 entry per car. 22. Race entries will be accepted at the GREEN GATE Rodeo office at the Fairgrounds Drive off Paxson,starting the first week of August. 23. The DEADLINE for race car/demo entries is the Monday before the Wednesday night event. Entries must be made before 5:00pm on the Monday before the event. **NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE CAR IS REGISTERED ** ***** NO EXCEPTIONS!!! ****** ATTENTION TEAM DEMO DRIVERS : 1. Demo drivers that wish to race must sign up and pay both entries; racing and demo. 2. If entering the demo, please refer to the "Team Demo Rules" page. 3. Team color preferences will be awarded in the order of entries received. You will be notified of your color after your entry form and check have been received. 4. Team Demo entries will be accepted from now until the Monday before the event and will be limited to 40 cars. Entries must be submitted by mail. Mail entries to: Moses Lake Roundup, P.O. All race entries must be done at the Green Gate Rodeo office...important NOTICE** Take note: Rules for the racing/demo are final. Sandbagging or avoiding hard contact will be given one warning with a black flag. You will be disqua lified on the second black flag. Pit Boss and Flaggers decisions w ill be final. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. THERE WILL BE NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED INTO THE DEMO GROUNDS. There will be no tolerance of open containers due to the beer garden and state regulations requiring security to be highly enforced. There will be absolutely no tolerance for poor sportsmanship and bad conduct. Please see Extra Information page for Minors and Extra Drivers.

Moses Lake Demo Rules 2 Man Team 80s Derby Demo Cars Only If you are running a 77-79 GM please call Mike Bise@ 509-431-4212 to verily car make and model is okay to run. If it isn't in the rules, don't try it or call to see if you can. 1980 and Newer Cars or GM Metric 77-79 If using a GM 77-79 it must be a metric car. Like Impala, Olds Cutlass, Pontiac Prestine. No 77" Monte Carlo's, and No 77" Malibu cars. $200 per Team Non-Refundable 20 Teams Max Need Make, Model, and Year of car. This show will be teched by Dan Nelson and his crew. Social Security Number is required for payout at the end of the night. The Team colors will be first come first sene. Your team will pick 3 colors. If the first color is taken then your alternate colors will be used. If they are also taken you will receive a phone call to have you choose a new color/colors. You may have a team name if you would like. Keep it clean! When color is issued the whole car will be that color except lettering. Unless the car ends up having 2 colors. Then the car will be painted half one color and half the other. The cars after being teched will enter a roped off area. You may do things like charge batteries and add fluid but NO major work. The cars need to come ready. No power on site! We will have a couple of generators so you can charge batteries. SAFETY is a BIG thing with this event! With the amount of things you can do to your car we need to Remember Safety. It will be a long, hard hitting, edge of your seat kind of demo. If your car does not pass inspection it will not enter the fair grounds. Dan will be providing a ramp to drive cars up on tor inspection. What Dan and his crew say will be final. If they say it's not going to run then it's not going to run. So please build a car to the rules, not to the gray area or you will be just wasting your time! You must have a# board on the roof.

Construction #1 Door bars both sides of cars with plates on the inside of the car. They need to be bolted with at least 5 bolts on each one. Must be at least 5/8 bolts. They can extend 6 inches past door seam. Prefer channel at least 6 11 If using grader bits... must have 2 each side. If using channel, the sharp side needs to be towards the car. Bars inside of car. Dash bar is required. It needs to go from side to side. With plates bolted in or welded. Needs to be 2 11 outside diameter or bigger. Cross bar behind the driver's seat needs to be bolted to the outside of the car. It also needs to be 2 11 outside diameter or bigger. It needs to have a plate on each end of it at least 4 11 square. #2 2 uprights or an H bar or outside halo bars are okay. They need to be mounted to the floor and roof with plates welded to them. 2 11 outside diameter minimum or bigger. No welding or bolting to the frame. You may connect your cross bar or dash bar to the outside bars. No kickers. On all bars you may use square tubing instead of round tubing. Gas tank needs to be covered and mounted to the rear floor. No bailing wire. If ratchet straps are used, you need to use 4 of them. And if the inspector does not approve you will be asked to change them For Safety. Do not mount to any part of frame. Stock gas tank must be removed. If using a gas tank protector, it must be at least 4 11 from back seat firewall. Batteries need to be secured with something other than bungee cords or ratchet straps. Can be mounted in a box or with angle iron and all thread. They must be covered. Tech man may ask you to change if it's not safe. #3 Front hood and rear trunk Lid Bumper straps 2-1 1/2 x 1/4 II Straps can be welded or bolted with 3/8 bolts to bumper to hood once it is touching bumper can only be 2 11 longer. Same with on the hood. They cannot be closer together than 2 feet. So from center of car 12 11 one way 12 11 from center the other way. Hood and trunk may be bolted down with 6 points of tie down each or 6 chains. 1II All thread or bolts with 2 going through or welded to the frame. Front of car and the same on the trunk. Plate size 4 11 no bigger. Do not weld them to the car. The core support pucks may be removed. No others! No other body bolts may be added.

#4 The front window will need to have some sort of screen on it at least halfway across the car. You may run 2 bars from roof to firewa ll or hood with one bolt each end 3/8 bolts. No more than 3" wide no more than 3/8 thick. Same on trunks. Must not go past the back of hood and top of the roof more than 4 inches, same with the trunk. So yes, it creates 2 more hood tie downs. So now you have 8 total. Steering or trailing arms may not be reinforced in any way. A-arms must be of that make of car. Ford to Ford, GM to GM. As long as it is a bolt on no modifications. You may remove ball jo ints and use bolts. No welding them. Ride height. You may weld bolts in springs or put wood blocks or use chain. You may not weld arms to frame. You may cut the firewall for distributor. Must cover it with rubber. #5 Radiators must remain in stock location Trunk tucking is allowed. You may notch the frame. Frame bending in the rear of car is ok. No tilting the front of the car. No pre-bending the front frame. You may crease body. Pound the sides of the car flat. Roll corners of fenders is ok. 6-3/8 bolt per fender well. You may trim the fender wells. Hoods can be rolled. You may weld the doors shut. You may use a 2 inch by 1/8-inch strap for welding doors shut. Welding You may weld all existing factory welded seams, firewall forward top and bottom. One Pass. No puddling or dimpling or V-ing of frame. No more than 12" wide welds. So, don't weld inner fenders to frame or core support to frame. No fillers will be used in welding. On a pinch frame car, you can pull the pucks but not weld the 2 frame members together. No frame stuffing or tilting or pre-bending the frame, anything from the front of the rear tires forward. Any stock style car bumper may be used. Hardnosed or shocks welded to frame. Shocks may not extend more than 10" past the front of the frame. Along the side or top of the frame. No fillers will be used when welding the shocks. Cross member may be welded in. Any OEM cross member is ok. Tie rod ends can be welded Fix it plates can be used on a pre ran car only, on visible damage. Can be up to 3/16 4x4 up to 4, cannot be cut down to make more than 1. If cut down that counts as 2, cannot be closer than 1 of each other. Must have a 1 hole in the center of the plate. Motor straps 1 % xu can be welded to frame. No more than I" can touch and be welded to frame. Changing motors motor mounts can be welded in as long as they are not structural to the car. Do not weld holes shut in frame.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO!!! #1 You cannot do these things or run these items : No transmission protectors No transmission braces other than a OEM cross member No distributor Protectors No stuffing the frame or reinforcing the frame in any way No coil spring to leaf spring swap No homemade bumpers Do not "Mount anything to frame" such as batteries, gas tank, seat belts, bars, seat. "((No Johnson Cradles))"- No other cradles other than what is stock. Things You Can Run Any tires, any rims. Stem protection is okay. Throttle assembly Shifter assembly Any rear-end Transmission coo lers as long as they are covered and lines are safe. Air shocks, Electric fuel pumps, Electric fans After market steering columns Slider shafts are okay to use. Lower engine cradles and pulley protectors are okay to use. As long as they are not adding structure to frame. They must not be touching the firewall. Hump chains are allowed. You may weld the outer skin of the bumper to the inner part of the bumper. Things You Must Do Have a working fire extinguisher. Seat belts that work 5 pts would be the best, NOT mounted to frame, Front window screen, Driver side window net would be nice. Cover gas tank and batteries. All holes in firewall need to be covered. Clean out all doors ((No Glass)). All interior must be removed, including dash. All trim and breakables on outside of car must be removed. Hood must have a one-foot inspection hole cut in the center of it.

HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence or releases or otherwise while in or upon the restricted area and/or while competing, officiating, observing, or working for or any purpose participating in the event. EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED expressly acknowledges and agrees that the activities of the event are very dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the State of Washington and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
