Wall To achieve the recommended height range for height adjustable models (of 550mm to 850mm); mount the table at the recommended height position. Mattress 130 mm to bottom of rail on framework NB: removal of pin which holds bottom of actuator in pace will need to be temporarily removed to allow screw / bolt mounting into wall. 240 Watt mains power only. Floor ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION If unit is purchased with a 240 volt (mains powered) actuator programme, then a 3 pin power outlet with RCD safety control is required. Length of cord with plug is 1 metre. Mount the plug as far away as possible from any water source, and in accordance with any local electrical safety standards and recommendations. Product can be hard wired as an option. ELECTRICAL TIPS Please read carefully: If the Change & Wash table is being installed in the same room as a shower, make sure the electrical fitting is at the opposite side of the table from where the shower is and should be hard-wired to the wall. E.g. if the shower is on the right of the table, the electrical fitting must be on the left. If the Change & Wash table is being installed in a room with NO SHOWER, you may place the electrical outlet on either side of the table, and a standard plug and socket will be adequate. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Mechanical/Framework There is very little mechanical maintenance required, just occasionally lightly oil the guides and plastic inserts to keep the movement smooth and free. Either oil or silicone spray can be used. The bolts and nuts holding the table together are locked but an occasional check should be prudent. Cleaning The padded top and frame of the table should be kept clean from soap build up and other deposits, warn soapy water is adequate for this. DO NOT use harsh abrasives or strong acid or alkaline cleaners. Electrical The electrical components are sealed and have no user serviceable parts. Any problems should be reported to Amtech Medical in the first instance as unauthorised attempts to carry out repairs will break the seal and may void the warranty. It is advised that an electrician or electrical service technician holding a current practicing license carry out the electrical safety check as recommended by the Electrical Workers Registration Board and OSH every 12 months. The Linak Actuator System can be cleaned with brush and low water pressure cold water in the retracted static position only ie, not moving. Medifab AU 1300 543 343 Medifab NZ 0800 543 343 Page 10

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS Operation and Care (This option, only if fitted) The Linak battery system operates at a nominal 24VDc to reduce any risk of electrical discharge to the operator or patient. An emergency stop button is fitted to the battery system. The battery is mounted at the bottom of the main frame and is a split unit allowing the battery to be removed for recharging. The charger can be set in another room and the battery taken to it, the battery should ideally be charged every 24 hours; this will extend the battery life. It is important that the battery is not fully discharged at any time. To remove or replace the battery to the table is best done with the mattress in the folded up position. The battery is designed to simply snap into the mounting bracket and is easily released by pulling on the handle on the battery pack towards you. Use both hands to support the battery pack when removing or replacing it. The wall charger has a light to show the power is connected (turned on) and a second light to show it is charging the battery. When the battery is fully charged, the second light goes out. The control box on the bed does not have any lights to indicate battery condition. Medifab AU 1300 543 343 Medifab NZ 0800 543 343 Page 12
